Not a place name, but I never miss an opportunity to mention that Charles Dickens had an older sister called Fanny.

Go back to the sign with your beloved and do the deed underneath.  The best ever picture B)
  • There's a street called 'whip-ma-whop-ma-gate' in York
I have a photo of me and a couple of mates by the sign.

Lilliput, Brobdingnag, Laputa, Balnibarbi, Luggnagg, Glubbdubdrib and Houyhnhnms.

None of them real, of course.  But I thought I would mention them because they were all included in Gulliver's Travels, first published today in 1726.

Upton RFC's ground is at: Minge Lane, Upton upon Severn, Worcestershire
  • Sexmoan in the Philippines is one of my favourites. Then again, Thailand does quite well with Bangkok, Phuket and Bang Sue.

  • There is a place in South Africa called Dududu.  I really wanted to append the road direction sign with ‘de Dadada’, but thought better of it.

In the states, there is a town called Intercourse, PA which is near the town of blue ball, PA
Also a Lititz PA, a Three Way, Tennessee, and a Climax, Michigan. Burnt Corn, Alabama was my favorite as a kid

A few years back, in the Farnham (Surrey) area, there were 27 pubs, one called The Bat and Ball one called The Ball and Wicket and five called The Cricketers.
    I kid you not.
