  • Thanks Clive.

Well I would book but I guess I’m waiting until 6/12 and paying the extra money to Virgin.

Doubt Sky would want to show the same match twice in one season, in relatively quick succession. We've also fallen away from the pack so I don't think we'll get as much coverage in the new year.
  • will be spending the weekend in Morecambe for this one .. and some think that Middlesbrough is cold in winter ! ((:>)
  • All booked up for this one so Sky better not change it. I bought a £40 return a few weeks ago...

  • Booked. £32.
  • Booked going up Friday (staying in Morecambe) and travelling back on the 17.59 train.
  • Local one for me so looking forward to it. Least we wont have to worry about priority ticket sales. They normally allocate 3000 but can accommodate 6000!
  • Looking forward to this one, new ground for two of our four.
  • I've been in Preston for a work conference today. It's actually a quick and easy enough trip. 2h 10m from Euston.
  • 9 of us going up.
    New ground for me

Great pub near the station. Can’t remember the name but Elfsborg or clive will know it
  • Either The Old Vic over the road or The Railway along the side road.

Plus a Samuel Smiths at the other end of the high street.

    Then 10 minutes to Deepdale.

They don't let in strange looking people wearing shorts....
  • Any spares?
  • New ground for me. Heading up on my own and then linking up with a random northern lass that slid into my DMs on Insta. What could possibly go wrong?

    She keeps her knickers on.

Been in the Old Vic before as Preston is a convenient place to change trains

" 'Ere you're Elfsborg? Do you want a drink?"

They were the very words.  Burnley away 4-0 if I'm not mistaken.

A sad day in more ways than one!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Don't know what you're doing wrong @roseandcrown, I got a half out of Elfs at Accrington and am in debit but I can't keep avoiding him 😉.

you DEFINITELY need to write a football travellers guidebook on the lines of 'Stadia and nearby drinking places' .. your extensive knowledge of even the most obscure and remote grounds and boozers will be invaluable to the dedicated football fan ((:>)

I knew there was one thing I could be useful for!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I thought you like the Burnley Miners Club I introduced you to a few years back?

I did, and the boozer in 'Ull and what other temptations you have led me to ((:>) .. BUT as now I am a non drinker, I find being in pubs far too tempting in that I might fall off the wagon and land hard on my head .. incidentally, my comment about writing a book was a serious one, I'll certainly have one as a freebie when it's written !!
