Really gutted to hear this, he is the reason I became a chef, his New British Classics book is pretty much a Bible for most of today's top chefs.

What a chef, what a guy. Went to the Greenhouse where he was the HC back in the 90’s. He’d cook you dinner and then come out to say hello. Big shock this ... RIP1

Far too young. I met him once in Bromley and he was such an infectious character. He was one of the early tv chefs that inspired me to start cooking.Had a few cracking nights at Rhodes 24 too, where I also go to meet him. RIP chef1
