I doubt this takeover would have happened if we were sitting in the top 3 so the recent injury induced slump has been a blessing so I’d like to thank those teams for beating us and for any millwall boys reading - particular you - the latest defeat was painful at the time - as they always are but very much helped this to happen - thankyou for your part in making us the richest club in the world - thankyou37

It still hasn't sunk in yet, can't wait to get to The Valley tomorrow so it can finally engrain into me the old scrote has actually gone!
Even if we don't see the cash splashed early surely the days of signing the likes of Josh Parker in the January window are finally over (no disrespect to Josh) and instead we can look to re-sign Grant, Aribo, make Cullen permanent and do some business that will at least keep us in the league for a real go at promotion next season.
All very encouraging so far, I do wonder if this is the bid @Redhenry said excited him?

Roland’s gone. New owners on the face of it look exciting but so far all we have is a statement that’s pretty standard for any incoming new owners of a football club. It’s a sad reality these days but it’s going to be money that talks. We have a old manager of that I’m sure but the last eight games have proved that The Championship is very tough. Bowyer needs supporting and I’m convinced we will push on. The proof of the pudding is in January.1

The thing is we ARE an attractive club to buy
London location with reasonable transport links AND a growing local population
Reasonably modern ground with corporate facilities and scope to expand - The Valley is still superior to all the other midsized London grounds, and doesn't need the vast sums spending on it to expand and modernise that Craven Cottage and Selhurst do, or complete relocation like Loftus Road
Reasonable training ground with a plan to modernise it
Well regarded academy
Relatively nice image
The memory of Premier League football - there will be people who can be attracted back
In addition we also offer thanks to Bowyer, Gallen and co
A proven coaching and recruitment team
A passionate fanbase and growing crowds
And most of all CHAMPIONSHIP FOOTBALL with a realistic chance of reaching the Premier League in a sensible timescale. It's no coincidence that our buyer seems to be a in a completely different league to the sorts of buyers after us in L1.
