It is what it is. We are desperate and he is an available body. He will either do us a turn or we will find out very quickly why he has been without a club since January and didn’t cut it with Derby. I hope for the former but suspect the latter I’m afraid.

Happy with this. As I said earlier in the thread, there’s an element of gamble with him and how fit he is but if he’s been training with Cardiff and now us he should be reasonably fit if not match sharp. It’s another body in the bench to help us through Christmas and protects some youngsters from being pushed into the team too early. If he’s been training at Cardiff he should be ready to start with two or three weeks of Bowyer training and substitute cameos. Worst case is he just ends up another player in the queue for the physio’s room but that only puts us back where we are anyway so think we had to try something.3

Including tomorrow we have 6 games before the transfer window opens, so another body would certainly be useful with Cullen, Kayal and Field all out

Decent signing in the circumstances0

Who would have approved the signing? RD?0

How old is he?0

That 50000 all seated in Woolwich might be on the cards then

I’m happy with this. He’s an older player with pedigree. Bowyer likes him so that’s alright with me. Apparently been keeping fit. Will be a big asset for us over the next month or so. Perfect back up for Pratley.Welcome Joe.0

With 6 league games in December and 1 cup game and 4 league games (Swansea, West Brom, Preston & Fulham) in January, an experienced player such as Ledley is a good addition given the injury situation. And even if new players are added in January they won't necessary all be signed early enough in the month to help alleviate the situation.2

Jeez ... What do some people expect! We’re in the middle of an injury crisis and he’s available. It’s a short term fix until we can sign Messi and RonaldoDaarrzzetbum said:Underwhelmed but needs must, welcome Joe.7 -
Seems like a good signing based on where we are right now with injuries. Exactly the type of player we needed to bring on for the last 20 mins against the Wendies.3
