He’d be in my worst ever Charlton side .  That half against Middlesbrough (he wasn’t alone) was horrific .

Bowyer did say we're short of midfielders today.

Doesn't surprise me... Might be a bit harsh but we were probably his last opportunity of getting into the Wales team ahead of Euro 2020

Joe probably thought that helping us to survive would mean a recall to the team - Unfortunately being unable to play for a struggling Championship team that was having to rely on its kids, more so than a player making one last attempt at his career probably confirmed that he wasnt up to it anymore
