  • BREAKING NEWS

RONNIE O'SULLIVAN HAS PULLED OUT OF THE MASTERS AND BEEN REPLACED BY ALI CARTER
He confirmed yesterday that despite World Snooker saying it was for personal reasons, there are no personal reasons he just doesnt want to play in The Masters
Just a hobby for him now apparently.

I didn't realise you write it all yourself. Thought you copied and pasted it from another website. I do read what you write as it's easy to see the draw/results as I'm on CL daily, but if a pain in the arse then just keep it to the last 32 as @MrOneLung says.

Thanks for all your efforts previously though. Much appreciated.
  • Chatting to a mate recently(who is massively into snooker. plays same club as Barry Hawkins)  he was telling me that they have bought in a million prize for someone who wins all the home series in a season. Seems to me that money is safe as there is no chance of someone managing that in a season? Surely?

A bit like the million on offer for 20 maximums in a season.
  • Don't know why they bother. Publicity stunt I guess.
  • Carry on what you are doing @paulie8290
You do a great job mate, and enjoy the updates.

Thats been in place for the last couple of seasons but again will never happen.

With the early rounds of the home nations events being best of 7 there are a lot of surprises and big names go out early on as well.

    For example:

    2016
    English Open- Liang Wenbo
    N.Ireland Open- Mark King
    Scottish Open- Marco Fu
    Welsh Open- Stuart Bingham

    2017
    English Open- Ronnie O'Sullivan
    N.Ireland Open- Mark Williams
    Scottish Open- Neil Robertson
    Welsh Open- John Higgins

    2018
    English Open- Stuart Bingham
    N.Ireland Open- Judd Trump
    Scottish Open- Mark Allen
    Welsh Open- Neil Robertson

    2019
    English Open-Mark Selby
    N.Ireland Open-Judd Trump

No way will one person win all 4 in 1 season lol

Does it help when I do full draws before events in quarters and then after each round show the draw in quarters.

It takes a long time to do as I only have a phone(would be so mucg easier with a laptop lol) so if its something people read and helps I am more than happy to do it.

But if you dont ever read it then I will stop haha.

    Just let me know

    Thanks in advance

Do you not have a library nearby where you could go in and use a computer?

Firstly, I always appreciate the hardwork you put in each event.

Regarding the first round draw I find it very useful, but sometimes a bit long. I will often look at draws for when Ronnie / big games are. But its nice to see all results, so I think if it helps you you can always just put something a bit more condensed. Eg. Scottish Open starts this week, draw (link) and then can follow results from there?

Its all down to how much you put in, I always read all your posts. For the bigger events (UK/China/Worlds) I will look at the draw from your quarters, others I half read and look out for the main players etc.

  • Just put it on the Grant thread but seriously WTF is wrong with people.

  • O Sullivan playing like he really can't be bothered against Dale

Saw a lot of this on FB/ Twitter, didn't see what he was playing like so couldn't even defend him. I think someone said he has mental health issues currently but was forced to play this or he would get fine/ heavily punished. He has pulled out of the masters as its an invitational, so clearly he needs a break right now.

Not a good sign, the end is nigh I reckon for Ronnie and his snooker. I can't see him being around much longer enjoy him while we can (snooker)

As with all the Home Nation events the Thursday is the most testing day, last 32 matchs played Morning and Afternoon, then last 16 matches played in the evening

Fully expecting on Friday to have

    Allen v Wilson
    Higgins v Robertson
    O'Sullivan v Selby
    Murphy v Trump

That's some lineup. I got to the pub and Ronnie won his final frame so didn't get to see the whole match. This format it is literally anyones, it wont surprise me if half of the above don't get there.
  • Ronnie being a knob again:

Not quite being a knob, I don't see how shaking a hand and a fist pump is any less disrespectful. I have done both in pool/snooker, just down to the individual. Each to their own surely, not sure how that can annoy anyone.
  • This OCD abouts germs has just kicked in has it, because usually he shakes hands

And Kyren Wilson has gone lol
  • Q4 looks tough.
  • Ronnie seems to be trying to cause controversy atm and I wonder if this is why.

Last time he left the game he felt pressure to return from fans.

What if he is trying to get fans to turn on him so he can just walk away:

Purposely missing a 147-fans at the game will be pissed off

Pulling out of the masters after fans have bought tickets to see him, then admitting that despite World Snooker saying it was personal reasons he just didnt want to play in it.

Now refusing a handshake which is a tradition of the game
