He said nothing about the takeover as just as he was about to tell all his mrs turned up.
So annoying
Waitrose in Bromley South too far to walk and a nightmare to park.

well that’s today gone and nothing. If nothing gets announced by close of business on Monday then we are looking at the week after Christmas. Dangerously close to not getting done by the time the window opens.1

Why not lay them out imaginatively?
Might help hurry up the process.

Must admit,. Seeing the Sky news report " East Street investments confident their funding is unrelated to Man City owner Sheikh Mansour "
Makes me feel like a kid again, waiting for his Xmas presents
This is Charlton though, deja Vu with Zabeel keeps messing up my thoughts.
Reckon it will come good, though could take the efl sometime to clear.0 - Sponsored links:

Pardew was sacked on Christmas Eve so I wouldn't rule Tuesday out just yet.1 -

My point was that I doubt too much work will be done at EFL towers on Christmas Eve.1

Having said that, I wouldn't think they are going to start competing with Man City or Chelsea in the transfer market and that they have a sensible plan to invest as the club succeeds and grows. It would be brilliant to see a promotion challenge and some activity towards expanding the ground capacity to capitalise on a promotion when we could realistically take our home gates above 30,000 and once again significantly increase gate receipts and commercial activity. That would also demonstrate a longer term commitment to the club.

Also, welcome to Charlton.5 -
I remember constantly pressing F5 on here just before Christmas waiting for the takeover that ended up being the spivs. We had heard we’d get news before Christmas but it didn’t happen until after.
Was it after New year or before?0 -

Just going to leave these two quotes here:
CharltonByBlood said:I've been over the moon since the take but it really hit home this morning and here's why:
My son has been playing semi professional football for the last 10 years even though he is in his mid 20's I still go to watch him most weeks and have done since he was 7.
When he has not had a game or been injured we go to the games when we can, home or away. Including weeknights. He's a huge chatlton fan and has band since he was 5 years old (infact this was in account a few years ago!) I'm in my 60s now and don't have many charlton friends in essex, so my son had no choice really growing up!
Over the last 2 years he has struggled terribly with injuries and struggled to get fit but when he is fit he is one of the first names on the team sheet and he lives for his football.
Over the last 2 years he has thought about packing it in full time and getting his Saturdays back but said he would never buy a season ticket under RD. He just couldn't stomach it. He would not at buy tickets from his friends or begrudgingly from the club.
Yestersay he played a game which they won 4-0 and he scored the 4th. This morning he officially quit his team. Retired as such as he feels his body can not take it anymore and when he told me he didn't seem too gutted which took my by surprise.
Then pulled out an email confirmation of 2 half season tickets in the west lower for me and him and said we need something to do on weekends now which filled me with joy.
I have never seen him this excited since he was a little boy waiting to see Harvey outside the club shop. Without sounding too cliche here (and sorry for rambling on) but blimey..
We really do have our Charlton back.FAVADDICK said:new name in the mix down as a director

Does the official announcement / press conference have to take place at the ground?
Just asking0 -

It's likely to be a press release from the club and also posted on the website with perhaps a press conference at some later date. Maybe a coordinated press release from the EFL as well.1 -
just noticed that ESi was incorporated on my birthday - now that must be a good omen - mus'ent'it?0

Interestingly I see Jonathan Heller seems to be a local boy.
