Is it too late to put in my takeover prediction date. I feel the next 2 months will be crucial 😉

He's a lawyer - probably the initial director of the newly formed company.

I would expect a resignation pretty soon.

Just seen a top Charlton face in Tesco, Bickley.

He said nothing about the takeover as just as he was about to tell all his mrs turned up.

    So annoying
Very disappointed to hear this........I had you down as a Bromley South Waitrose regular. :/

    Tesco is my corner shop.

Waitrose in Bromley South too far to walk and a nightmare to park.

Personally think it's a good thing the EFL are being so thorough.

Part of the telephone interview with one of our prospective new owners has been leaked.

EFL: Do you have any affiliation to Manchester City's owners?

    ESI: No

    EFL: Are you sure?

    ESI: Yes

EFL: You would tell us if you did wouldn't you because we don't want to get into trouble or look silly.

ESI: Of course we'd tell you (muffled laughing)

    EFL: Are you laughing?

ESI: No, no, no, I have a sneezy cold.

EFL: Ok, I think I'm fairly convinced but just one last question. Can you name Charlton Athletic's current manager?

ESI: Err, I didn't expect that, that's a tough one. Is it Pep Guardiola?

    @FAVADDICK re Michael Blood here you go;

ESI hoping that the interviews for the EFL's owners’ and directors’ test can be completed by the end of this week.

Here's hoping ESI's well experienced in the sports industry, corporate lawyer, Mike Blood, a former semi pro rugby player with recognised professional qualifications in this country (unlike our former CEO), can get it over the line. 🤞

Can’t you get your man to keep driving round the block until you’ve finished your shopping.

Feck me. I hope the incompetence of the EFL rattles on for a bit and there really is a link between us and Man City.
Ah, that was Bowyer's "strange" thing - we are going to be City's feeder club  ;)
No, they are to be our feeder club, hence the strange, but good comment.

I just done the stadium tour and they reckon the media room is set up ready for the takeover announcement.

I also saw Purrington in the club shop buying a Charlton calendar...
The first part of this comment surprises me

    The second part does not.

I'm sure Cawley would have tweeted something if that was the case.

Did Purrington let everybody in the queue go before him?

They weren’t saying it was imminent by the way, they just said that they have it set up ready to broadcast if necessary for the big news, as well as your average press conference

Pearce was going to buy that Calendar, but left it to Lockyer, who left it to Sarr, who left it to Purrington...
