  • It’s sickening to think that the EFL could scupper our dreams and leave us with Roland and almost certain relegation . 🤞🤞🤞

I think the EFL would save themselves a lot of bother if they just gave stage updates,  from the horse's mouth, rather than absolutely nothing
Fit and proper tests and due dilligence are and must remain confidential.
I suggest that they have a whirly thing or line showing how far it's gone through on the EFL website, a bit like when you upload something. They could do this for every takeover. -)

I'd like to think that the "strange" ideas have to do with ambitions to devote money and resources to the women's team to elevate both the women's and the men's to the upper echelons, as per the Sheik's statements... No doubt Bowyer would find that strange but not bad... Probably not, and we don't even know the Sheik's involved, but I'm choosing that to cling to!
I think they aim to bring all aspects of the club together: the first team, academy, women’s team, community trust, etc. How they plan to do that exactly, I don’t have a clue. But I think that Southall has a plan and ideas to do just that. For me, that’s what is ‘strange’. Just how feasible and successful it will actually be, will be interesting and exciting at the same time. They certainly have the money to make it work. Building the training ground development to have it all integrated together I feel is a key part of this.

With that, I hope it allows for more vacancies and opportunities for people in the community who are qualified. I know the trust have agreed a big contract with someone I am not prepared to name, but the future work and plans are interesting and possibly in years to come the new training ground could play a part in that.

Overall, it will bring the club even closer to the community and I think they know if they can tap into that side, we have a huge area to improve and make ourselves a real force.

I’m just looking forward to it being announced and we can all move forward in a positive direction. The sooner that happens, the sooner Bowyer can also get the help he needs for the squad and us and the club can really kick on together.

We must have a bit more patience, but it’s going to be exciting once it happens.
    We have an LGBT team?!
Strictly speaking we have a LGBT+ friendly team, Charlton Invicta, affiliated to the club.

I'm a bit surprised by this. Is it a mixed gender team? Lesbians and gay men together?
  • isnt that an awful lot of appointments?

  • Final check at the EFL, but is that a yes or a no?

That is definitely someone doing their French tax declaration.
  • well that’s today gone and nothing. If nothing gets announced by close of business on Monday then we are looking at the week after Christmas. Dangerously close to not getting done by the time the window opens.
Bit cold for opening windows, isn't it?

Only 9 active - if you look at his history, he was a director on most companies for less than a month, so it looks like he just sets them up on behalf of someone else.

It's not unusual to see someone have that many directorships, I know of one who has over 1,000. He sets up shell companies ready to go, it's his job, probably the same for this guy, he is a solicitor after all.

He's head of corporate for JMW Solicitors.

Pardew was sacked on Christmas Eve so I wouldn't rule Tuesday out just yet.
Not unless Christmas falls in November.

The night of the 5-2 beating at home to Sheffield United.

My point was that I doubt too much work will be done at EFL towers on Christmas Eve.
We will have clearance before then ;-)
I had a clearance this morning.
  • It's pretty clear the next 2 weeks could be crucial...

Seems that the EFL might have their work cut out with Sheffield Wednesday currently

  • The EFL are done with Macclesfield now so perhaps we’re edging ever closer to a decision?
  • i'm guessing Bowyer meant the EFL playing Silly Buggers when he referred to 'strange'!
I don't think that fits into the context of him talking to MS about their ideas

The time between now and the start of January may be particularly significant.

Roughly how long to you think that period covers?

Approximately the size of two working weeks and two weekends.

Or, in other words, Happy Birthday from me too....
