Too many gift wrapped chances from us and not enough tinsel in midfield to last out the bleak mid-winter before those wise men from the east turn up with some gold (subject to EFL approval, of course).
2-1 QPR0 -
Not had a chance to read the comments but kust seen on sky Johnn WIlliams has pulled his hamstring in training and Sam Field still injured when we were hoping they'd be back onthe bench. APart form rotten luck with injuries, why are so many breaking down again just when it seemd they were ready to play again? I blame Roland! But seriously, are they training too hard in some way? It does seem odd as if something isn;t quite right1

Going in hope rather than expectation. Thoroughly fed up with the current run involving injuries and multiple last minute concessions. Bowyer also culpable with his continual changing of the defence and playing wrong players in certain games ie Sarr at the scum and Ledley at Boro.
Not sure why people continually go on about us being ok once injured return. Others will get injured ie Pearce, Williams is always injured. Only a big investment in January will save us and the EFL appear to be doing all they can to scupper that.
More finally smelling the coffee come 5pm as we wander wearingly and disconsolate back across London in the pouring rain.

Last time I was in the lower away end at Loftus Road, we lost 5-1. I'm expecting a difficult afternoon.....result/shit seats/fractious fans/probably getting soaked etc etc0

Christ Almighty some of you lot are a bundle of happiness this morning and the sooner you get to the pub the better. Merry Bloody Christmas! Keep the faith COYRs!1

2-1 to QPR, but hoping for better.
It's not a lucky ground for us.0 -
I still have an Upper seat spare....0

Can't remember how many we took in November 1970 for our biggest margin win 4-1 in my lifetime but there was plenty of us and some in the wrong end until we got repatriated by the Old Bill 😈. Mike Kenning on the scoresheet that day. However any margin of victory would be more than acceptable but I'd take a point right now.
Seasonal greetings are warmly reciprocated FA and thanks for the previews, keep up the good work and you Sage 👍.
A serious question mate, in those days of no segregation what was considered the section the away fans would go?0 -
Just about to set off, come on you reds, my money is on a 3-2 win.0

Kicked off after the game down the Uxbridge Road when we came under a hail of bricks and bottles and I sought refuge in Clarkes shoe shop, still here to tell the tale though 😎.0 -
The key to the match is extra time. If we can keep the stoppages to a minimum we've got a chance.0

Nice to see the 'i' paper has taken a @AFKABartram quote about where people eat Christmas dinner for our match preview today12

...as for today can't see us repeating that feat; another defeat on the cards and then prepare for more vitriolic comments from the many 'keyboard warriors' who seem to dominate social media these days. Doom and bloody gloom merchants one and all.0

I can see us sneaking a draw but we really need a win 1-10

Been in Belushis since 11 am.
Totally full of Charlton.
Brilliant atmosphere.
COYA2 -
Fancy us to nick it 1-0.1

Wish I was there - the fact I’m not should give us a chance of a result - fingers crossed - COYR!!!!0

I would take a point right now. I fear a defeat though particularly as I have broken my cardinal rule and bet on a Charlton win...0

Not feeling too optimistic in the light of the injuries but the team has fight and hope springs eternal. Thanks to RedChaser for the memory of Mike Kenning’s two goals back in 1970 or so. I remember as a little kid being staggered to see us 3-0 up at half time on Grandstand, as we ended a run of 30 odd away games without a win. I think that Ray Treacy may also have popped one in. I feared a QPR comeback but it finished up at a 4-1. Incidentally, a really good black and green striped away kit from memory.
A fairly local trip for us, so popped into Brew Dog Shepherds Bush and a then on to a good beer selection in a relatively new place, Prairie Fire at Wood Lane arches, which does some very good BBQ sandwiches and burgers etc. It is next to the behemoth Westfield, with the now shrouded Grenfell a short distance away. Only 11 minutes from the ground..
I have yet to see us score a goal at Loftus Road, including the dispiriting 3-0 FA Cup defeat to Fulham, so hopefully today will break the duck. I hope that Albie plays, as we desperately need to compete in midfield and retain possession.0 -
Hopefully we might see defenders actually jumping at set pieces.0
