3, but would be handy if each user could sink (from their view) any threads they have no interest in. I like to see all threads and want to choose whether I view or not.
  • Leave it as is.  I think the real issue is that the default entry point appears to be Recent Discussions, which picks up everything.

If you could choose your default view - General Charlton or whatever category you wanted, it might calm down those who don’t want to rate other people’s dinner.

Personally, I think all the different threads are great, and I like seeing the all on one page.

Happy for to be left as it is, the ability to ignore any threads that have no interest is something I pride myself in. Especially the guy with the dogs he should be banned! 😉

    it's a 3 from me.
  • And 3. from me. Good to keep the politics somewhere else but very much enjoy the potential for randomness by scrolling through the recent discussions.
  • I'd be in camp 3 personally, I prefer to scroll through everything in one forum and only click on / comment on the threads that interest me.

If anything then I'd suggest maybe a small re-alignment of the current categories?
    This - 3

I probably wouldn't think to look in a sub forum and so would miss out in various other threads I would enjoy or contribute to.

    3. Good as it is
If I’m interested in a topic, I’ll click on it, if not then I won’t or save opening it until I’m really bored.

The only thing I would like is the ability to ‘hide’ a thread that I know I’d never, ever bother opening coz I’ve zero interest, just to save cluttering up the first page.

    3.  Leave as is.  Its great with the politics hidden away.  Too many RIP threads but i just like others don't look at them if I don't know them.

    4.

Move the politics one back onto the main site & then leave it all as is. Hate the way Brexit & the GE was sidelined onto a place where you can't quote pp's.

If not, then 1. Move all the boring buggers that want to discuss their weight loss, couch to 5k, park runs etc etc.......just like you did for Politics.

    Bar humbug  !!
  • 3 please... even the lurkers like to see non cafc related stuff without having to dig around 👍
  • 3 for me please
  • Can we vanish the crap threads Rate my Plate to a separate sub-section?

We should let the EFL decide, shouldn’t take more than say 6 months

    3 Don't touch
  • Maybe a re-thinking of the categories making some more specific but would still like to see everything on the main page.

Would prefer not to read all this nonsense about Charlton, so move that to a specialist site and leave the rest.
  • Option 3 all day for me. The are threads that I have/may never read but that is my choice.

    3 for me.
One of the strengths of this site is that there are so many different threads there to choose, if some are categorises separately there is a chance I won't bother looking and that would be a shame

Have we learned nothing from VAR? Some things are not worth tampering with 😉
Been coming here for 13 years. A hell of a lot has happened in my life during that time and having shared most of them, I've took great pleasure and comfort from the comments, our loving, fighting, supporting, community has offered.

We have created something that is infinitely greater than the sum of its parts.

    Leave it alone say.
  • 2 or 3 for me boss. I don't fancy having to dig around for groups and sub groups to be honest.

If I don't fancy the title of a thread I don't open it, simples!

3 It is fine as it is.
  • 3 for me

  • I like things as they are too.  I’m with Len.  The fact that politics has been shunted away means I only rarely read the stuff whereas before I used to enjoy the banter.

Why not have threads dedicated to for example RIPs.  It works well for boxing.

its a great site.  No other like it.

    Happy New Year.
