I've also read elsewhere that it's done and will be announced early in New Year, with all staff meeting new chairman soon after announcement.
They have all ready met him, been walking around like he owns the gaff for weeks.  If "he" owns the the club it will be a "bumpy ride"
He clearly will not, since he doesn't seem to have any more wedge to invest than you or I, let alone £50m, (source: VOTV) but, nevertheless, I agree, it doesn't strike the right note .

But one explanation is that they are sure they have satisfied the EFL, and are expressing their frustration that it hasn't been ratified.
To be clear, the source for Southall having no money is himself, in a court declaration explaining why he couldn’t pay an outstanding debt, earlier this year. I just found it.
What is wrong with you and your constant craving to be relevant in charlton put your feet up get your pipe out and chill out for five mins

fuck me your like a miss Marple
No one is gonna be purer than the driven snow , most people will have the odd skeleton in their closet.
Put yourself in a “public” position so to speak and you’ve got to expect scrutiny .
Keeping our potential new owners on their toes is no problem to them if they’re gonna be doing things the right way .
If they’re up to no good then that’s when some digging and sniffing around will potentially make them think twice about any skullduggery.

So I say carry on being a snooping journalist Airman .
It’s the age we live in where the world is a smaller place and public positions are exposed to more scrutiny.

  • Fwiw I think these are friendly people who have already put their reputations on the line by being visible and affable in ways we are not used to. Part of that visibility also means we get partial insights like the accounting document most of us can't decipher and plenty of rumour and gossip via social media channels. It can't be easy and it seems they're managing the process pretty well with the team assembled so far. If we get an announcement tomorrow or early Jan we can all look forward to the next phase as the squad is strengthened for a top half finish (now 12/1 on sky bet). Feeling pretty relaxed myself.

B@ll@x, I was quite smug when I got 10/1 while others only got 9/1.  Never occurred to me we would lose to Derby & odds drift out.
  • They’ve given Bowyer the green light to find another striker. If that’s all the business we will do then I’m worried for our championship status. A striker from Blackpool ? and a couple of loans is hardly what you’d expect from the next Man City.
To be fair the striker is all we heard through bowyer. I would imagine that’s because they had a target and it needed approval from both esi and Roland to start discussions.

It may be there are other target positions we have not yet heard about.

Also they have never said the new Man City that has come from fans dreaming

Some hysterical, in both meanings of the word, comments here.

Just as well I didn't pass on the rest of the message.

When it's on the official site
Blimey, have a word HI. You just pulled someone else up for a silly comment...
    Why?

That also insignificant message would have also been pulled apart, over analysed and huge assumptions made from it, followed by some personal attacks on whoever the poster has been digging out for years.

Not worth the hassle of having to put insignificant things in context given the febrile nature of this site after a defeat.
    So why say anything then?

You’ve been on the scene long enough to know full well that there is not a single forum in the world where a contribution on the lines of ‘I know something you don’t’ has ever gone down well.
Only that wasn't what I was saying, you just decided to read it that way.

I've deleted it as clearly I didn't make that clear and that is my fault.
  • Jim White is at it again...poking his nose 👃 in
  • I know I’m jumping the gun a bit, but for the sake of ending up all lord of the flies, Happy New Year everyone!

I think there’s a lot to be said for the old adage and slogan “would you buy a used car from this man”

Nothing wrong with legitimate scrutiny. If there’s nothing to find then it won’t be found.

This is normally true but I’d suggest you’d be a bit mad buying a used car from anyone involved in football, original/proper Reg Vardy excluded...

I have just seen something on social media that would make me question buying anything off of RE

or raging rick as the piece called him

Now is not the time for digging and scrutiny now is the time for coming together and allowing people to show their intentions not looking like an soured scorned love sick bint

Isn't "all systems go," a quote from Thunderbirds?
Who is the brains behind ESI, Mr Grumpy ?

Not concerned if MS has a pot to piss in or not, it’s irrelevant to his ongoing role, which, if his early actions and words are anything to go by, is significantly more hands on and fan base friendly than RD could manage in a lifetime.
He is being paid (or will be 🤞🙏) to do a job, not to invest, he is well connected within the game it seems, friendly & approachable, hopefully will run us professionally, that’s all that should matter.
His wealth, or lack of it, is completely irrelevant IMO
    This with bells on

if there is anything that has eroded at cafc in the last 10 yrs it’s the person fronting the club failing to find empathy and acceptance of what charlton means to the fan base

to have people dig up shit on anyone associated with them in the way they are and then gleefully announce “ I just found it”

is pathetic and shows the agenda I mentioned two days ago

leave ESI to show their metal leave their employees to show their own class or if it happens lack of it

this club has been poisoned internally and that poisonous toxic behavior has spread to others outside the club who feel they have to continuously and meticulously dissect the lifestyle and history of those individuals

There was lessons to be learned by all through December 2019 general election

the behavior of how people react to constant negativity and constant sniping and not trying to allow people to put their stamp on things in a grown up joined up majority supporting way is not going to get you recognised as a positive and will back Fire

leave this new era to do what they want to do give them a chance to breath and implement their plans freely and without constant scrutiny if you live as a negative then only negatives happen

I totally agree. Constant scrutiny and negativity are a right pain.

By the way, your post would be much better with some full stops added.

I really don’t think you’d like the person behind that NLA - ex member of Arthur Scargill’s Socialist Labour Party for a start. Thanet politics is a wild and wonderful place but you won’t understand it from reading local bloggers (and ex-councillors).
  • Jim White really is shameless.
  • I will say January won’t define ESI their interest their integrity their commitment to growing charlton the right way will do

yes we need signings to assist through this mental injury ravaged squad but we also need perspective

target in 2019/2020 is to stay up that won’t be achieved by miss managing a budget with panic signings

I think it will if we get relegated, which at the moment is a significant risk.

Would people blame ESI for relegation? Especially if they give Bowyer funds to try and get out of this?
  • Let’s all light up a Hamlet and relax...
