With all the talk of Roland still owning The Valley, would you rather

A) Charlton stayed at The Valley and remained in Championship/ League One.

B Charlton move to a new stadium and reap the reward of a.new fan base and possibly Premier League status achieved and sustained.

This’ll never be a simple poll.
However it’s the Valley for me.
    The league is irrelevant.

    A. Too many unknowns (where would the new stadium be, would we own it or only rent it, would we be sharing with anyone else, how big would it be?) involved in B to risk for the benefit of a new fan base and only possibly achieving and sustaining Premier League status. I'd rather be in the Championship at the Valley than ground sharing at the Taxpayers' Stadium in the Premier League.
  • Why does a new ground equate to new fans ????? We don’t fill The Valley now

In any event - it The Valley all day long - we got to the Prem at The Valley and will do again

    Option 3
    You know it makes sense
  • If Bournemouth can play in the prem with their tin pot ground we have nothing to worry about. Stay at the valley and rebuild the Jimmy Seed if we need more seats.

Just like we have a separate area for politics, we should have a separate area for people to speculate about/discuss us leaving the Valley.

First football club on Mars d)
  • Stay at the Valley.

10 years ago (or longer) a move to the peninsula was possible, given the amount of empty land there. It isn't now. Had we moved then - when we were established in the PL - we would have been doing no more and no less than many other large clubs and things might have turned out very differently.

D - Let's actually own The Valley first, before we decide whether to leave it.

Not unless you move the away fans into what would be the South West corner of the ground now and only half of the Jimmy Seed stand based on the last design then we get to reclaim at least half of the JSS and the South East corner - should all this ever be built of course.

According to this article a 40,000 seat stadium would cost £100m+. With it being in London, I think it's fair to say you could double that figure.

Great question. No, seriously. Great question.

Did you think that up all on your own?
