  • An opportunity for ESI to show their mettle. Give Taylor the dosh he deserves, rather than Maddison or a.n.other gamble.
  • He was clapping rather vigorously must mean he's off
    That’s it then  :/

Where's the feigning an injury because he is a sulker and wants to leave brigade?

Showed his quality when he came onto today. The ball just sticks to him and he has the canny ability to be in the right channel at the right time.
  • Must admit it is really noticeable he was on the pitch compared even to Bonne. Really could use him signing

    2. Cullen .... Oh..thanks Moyes
    3. Taylor
    4. Williams
    5. Phillips

Probably getting their comments ready to say it about the next one.

    Bonne maybe

  • He is different gravy. Need to take a good look at what we've offered.
Not sure if a 'fair' offer can be considered enough.
  • Did far more in 20 minutes than Hemed did in 70, and I’m someone who still holds hope for Hemed offering us something.
Hemed is as good as the players supporting him. Give him a service and the percentages will do the rest.

  • Offer more money and a longer contract.

    Fully agree.
  • We don’t know what the contract offer is and we don’t know if Taylor is determined to leave or not.

Only thing we have to do is ensure that we give ourselves a good chance of keeping him.

I was a little critical of him after the Swansea game. Thought he was very good today.
Interesting that Hector who had been marking Hemed (who did a decent job tonight) fluffed his first three kicks and looked immediately flustered when Taylor came on.

Thought Hemed did well on his own... Dont really see him as a target man

Reckon he could link well with Taylor
  • His agent was proving a nightmare when negotiating. We are now bypassing and going directly to Taylor to try and get the deal done.
  • Got a week to sign him up. Really opened it up today in limited time he was on.
I don't buy that hes injured tho.

Why do we only have a week to sign him up?
  • If we can get him to sign then should be captain, leads from the front

My take for what’s its worth, I thought Lyle seemed very chilled tonight, went over to Lee at the start of the natch, with a great big smile on his face, seemed very relaxed, I’ve done a complete u turn on the evidence on show tonight, and don’t think he’ll be leaving us in January, cue a 2 million pound transfer tomorrow!

    Keep him sorry

  • He made a huge difference when he came on tonight and showed why we need to keep him until the end of the season, at the very least.

But the difference between Hemed and Taylor wasn't the service they got. Taylor was more physical, faster and had much better movement. Taylor can create chances for himself and others too, he's not a goal poacher.

If Lyle stays (and keeps fit) we'll stay up easily, he's that good.
  • Lyle I reckon feeds off the buzz from us as fans. Today he didn’t get as much adulation and he won’t unless he signs a new contract. I hope we can get something to work for him as with him, Hemed and maybe someone else as well in, the crowd will bounce. He will do well to stay both financially (I hope) and he will perform at a higher standard with Charlton than with a move imo.

    Fingers crossed.
  • He is so good, that cross almost won us the game... the vision and way he strikes the ball similar to Wembley... He will be the difference and will keep us up, he DESERVES a pay rise and to be paid what he is worth in this division.

Captain would be a lovely tip of the hat too.

  • Fake injury conspiracy theory crew eating humble pie today ;)

Well he is not injured anymore, hence why he came on!
  • Lyle is the only player who gives us swagger.
  • Real 100%er. Pay him what he is worth.
  • It was interesting last night that the body language of Fulham's defenders changed completely when he came on.  Of course he is better than Hemed but they went into panic mode and kept giving the ball away; that's what he gives us.
