  • Anyone still confident we're in no danger of relegation?

Not saying we can't get the results to keep us safe, but we desperately need decent additions to the squad NOW not in August.
  • And now Huddersfield are winning

Unfortunately the "model" didn't have any provisions for an emergency !

Everyone picking up points, and battling for their lives...

we seem happy to lay down and take it
You didnt go to the Fulham game then? - to say the team didnt battle last week is an insult!!

Tonight’s fixtures that affect the relegation zone

    Hull v Huddersfield
    Luton v Derby
    Wigan v Sheff Wed
    All the bottom teams won.

Saturday becomes a must not lose, so we probably will then. Makes the need for reinforcements even greater

Don’t fancy us at all. Even with our squad looking stronger we have no momentum.

    Going to be very tight.
One way to look at it... We're undefeated at the Valley since mid-December

Anyone know when the Hudders goal is due?
6 mins into added time. Does that help.

Luton score winner in 86th minute
Wigan score winner in 90th minute
Huddersfield score possible winner in 96th minute

Cant actually believe that all just happened
  • these results might get MS to open his wallet a little further

Half the people on here wouldn’t last 2 minutes under Bowyer. Jacked it in already. We will stay up.

These results make it all the more important we sign players in the next few days and keep Lyle . We couldn’t keep relying on the teams below us to continue  losing .
I'm just glad the takeover happened the beginning of January so the new owners could concentrate on strengthening the squad.
God knows what position we would be in if they hadnt
Who knows, Roland may have sold players and not even signed Green.

I'd say it was a must win game. We've GOT to start winning games, draws at home against the strugglers won't be enough

Jeeeeees, that league table looks horrendous. All we can say is fair play to those teams being able to win.
  • Vital we win on Saturday

    Wigan at Leeds
    Hudds at Fulham
    Luton at West Brom
Stoke are at Derby on Friday

    Got to get the victory

Keep calm....it’s all in our own hands, the bottom 3 would all swap places with us. Having watched us play West Brom and Fulham in the last few weeks, have a bit of confidence and grow some

The squad as is, goes down in my view. A new quality striker and a central defender (not Pogba) minimum may just keep us up (as long as Josh Cullen is fit for the rest of the season).

It’s nights like these where you can’t let bad results stress you out. Focus on what your team can control and think about the bigger picture rather than a couple of bad results.

Tonight’s result don’t change the target of 50 points.

We need 20 points from 19 games. If we get those we’ll be safe.
  • Last game at the Valley this season... Wigan Athletic

    Ooof, that could be good!!

12 mins overtime at Hull .. seems that the Hudds keeper was injured, hence the extras

Current state of the thread. Next 4 days are vital
  • Wigan hadn't won in 7 so an unlikely result.

Luton beat Derby who haven't won away since opening game of the season. That said no team that has has 21 points from 28 games has EVER stayed up.

    Huddersfield hitting bit of form.

No luck in it. We need to make it happen. If injured players aren't fit or returning we will need replacements. What are ESI going to do???
  • We win the next 17 i believe 81 will guarantee us play offs and the way them two up the top look shakey possibly give us a shout of the automatics
Good news is with tonights results the dream double is on
cos if the scum lose the next 17 i don't believe 44 points will be enough for them to survive
wallop 2 leagues apart next season , crystal palace we're coming for you

Remain undefeated at home (Barnsley | Blackburn | Luton | Middlesbrough | QPR | Millwall | Reading | Wigan) and we'll survive!!

Seven wins from that lot alone (its achievable) will get us 21-pts
  • Once we beat Barnsley on Saturday it'll be time for us to go on an undefeated streak.

Reckon we should get between 10 and 13 points in February based on a bit of blind faith, the fact we have players back, and we have to beat our relegation rivals.
