Even the optimists amongst us are getting a bit fed up now, I like everything Iv seen from ESI and Matt Southall but this is really going down to the wire Now,
I still think we need 3/4 signings and I’m getting anxious it’s not going to happen, I don’t think talking about marquee signings and getting in for the beginning of jan to make signings and save our season has done him any favours,
plus the tweet two weeks ago about deals pending made things sound close when clearly not, got 3 days to sort it but I’m getting worried.3 -

I feel quite relieved that Taylor will be staying now because 29th tomorrow and you would've to be very inept to sell your top scorer and assists player over the last 18 months, when you could be in 21st place come Saturday. Even Roland resisted the bid 5 minutes before the window closed in the Summer, so no way will Matt sell Lyle because he would've no credibility left after working so hard at networking during the last two months and saying he wouldn't sell Taylor.

Surely we've got to get some new signings over the line before Tahnoon visits. A team weaker than before they took over at the end of the window cannot be allowed to happen. Surely?4

Don’t get me wrong, I’m very glad Roland has gone and hopeful that the new ownership will get us back on track. I’m just surprised that the ESI regime have been unable to secure more incoming business so far. I wonder if a takeover going through at the start of the window isn’t the blessing it seemed at the time if it means that vital squad strengthening is unable to take place due to the disruption caused. Think you’re bang on Shooters. Tonight’s results couldn’t have been worse and for anyone to be trotting out the ‘we’ll be fine, players are coming back’ line are just not seeing how much we’re in the shit. I think it’s imperative we bring in at least two or three by Friday. If we don’t then I’ll start to have concerns about the new owners and I’ve been pretty laid back in my attitude towards them up until now. They have to see how damaging a return to League One would be and if they don’t then they obviously haven’t bought the club with their eyes fully open.5 -
Left it too late now. Any player we approach will take one look at the table & then another at our last 3 months results.....and will run. We will end up signing a couple of 18 year old loanees that will look fancy but wont have the experience or the fight needed to stay up.5

We're coming off the back of two very decent home draws and an unfortunate away loss. We were very competitive in all 3 of those games.
All of those teams are in promotion or play off places.2 -
Bowyer would have been given transfer assurances before signing wouldn't he?3

I'm so glad ESI decided that it was so important to get the takeover done this month so they could strengthen the team that actually buying The Valley & Sparrows Lane was put to one side.

I’m not saying your wrong but 1 win in 18 games is an atrocious record and it’s not easy to turn around and even less so when you are now relying on players coming back from injury both not breaking down again and finding form. We need reinforcements and we needed them three weeks ago. I don’t think we will go down but I’m not burying my head in the sand and saying everything will be ok, don’t worry ( not that I’m saying you are btw).Dazzler21 said:

So much negativity on this site it's unreal. Even people suggesting Roland is a better option.
Take a good long look at yourselves, yes it looks tough right now I firmly believe we are on our way back from this injury crisis and will push back up the table.
The players that will join us in the next 3 days will further strengthen the squad and we will re build in the summer, would you rather still have Roland?
If so you need your bumps read.

Fuck what the rest of the league is doing we should of signed players by now because we badly need them, if we didn’t forfeit the Preston game and just settle for a spirited point against Fulham we may still have a two game gap, but now we ain’t.Absolute meltdown coming if we fuck up Saturday against a bumper crowd.
