What was the comment before from Matt Southall teams know who’s behind us and they’re adding on extra 0s , this reads completely different. So now it sounds like we’re not making bids at all and just relying on loans.1

I wonder if its a case of MS is playing hardball setting the stall out to clubs we will not be taken for a ride and Bowyer is getting frustrated.

Do we know WHO Matt Southall used to be a footie agent for? Let's also remember he is new to this role and acting an agent rather than a CEO could be what Bows is hinting at.2

It could be that we have asked about the availability of players to be told do one or quoted ridiculous amounts. So we have moved on further down the list and are now left hoping for loans.
It is all well and good offering more than a player is worth but get that kind of reputation and it will stick.
Or we could actually be poorer than before.0 -

Think there could be a real clash of personalities with LB and MS. Can’t see MS warming to those comments but Southall can’t watch the window close and leave Bowyer with no help. Still over 24hrs to go.4

One thing that still sticks with me was that MS interview he did at the start.
Said he was on his way to the game and he bumped into his mate and his wife and his mate asked "how have you blagged this one" or to some effect.
I am holding out hope that all will b e good come 11:01pm tomorrow.

When they didn't implement an emergency strategy straight away to cover having to play Dempsey, Vennings, Davidson etc, then it was obvious there were cash flow problems.
Lee knew this, that's why he suddenly wanted his Contract sorted before February.

I take the comment 'relying on favours' to mean we're depending on clubs agreeing to loan us certain players or accept late deals.
I don't see it as a negative comment...........yet.10 -

Was said at the time that we wanted him in the summer but was not where Villa wanted finicaling but ESI was in January. Also the Madison bid, we would not of bid and offered wages if there was no money.
I may be wrong but I do think there is money (not mega like fans got excited about) but I think MS is so worried about people having him over that he is not doing things quick enough and LB is getting frustrated. I think MS maybe from his agent days fancies himself as a Levy type and is playing the game thinking like an agent still
I also do wonder if they are taking a gamble that we will stay up without too much investment and want to get through to the summer.

Is Bowyer playing the cards close to his chest? If we let on we have shit loads of money then whats to stop any other parties we are dealing with asking for more? Agents and clubs in this case.0

Even I'm getting a little worried now! My previous posts on the thread have been supportive of ESI and MS, and telling everyone that the window doesn't close until 11 pm on Friday lets judge them then. However, unless LB is playing a very good cloak and dagger game to throw agents off the scent of us having money, his comments are somewhat worrying. If we are not bidding £1 million for any one, and yes I know it could be a play on words that it could mean exactly £1 million, I don't see how we can genuinely strengthen as to where we were at the beginning of the month! I'm prepared to sit and wait a while longer, BUT I would like to see some positive action today or, even I, may begin to think ESI are paying 'lip-service' and that doesn't sit well.2
