  • I hope for his future credibility as Charlton's CEO that there are at least two signings of some value after those tweets this morning and all that has been said since the takeover.

Not too sure if it has been posted already but, Matt has deleted his Lyle Taylor tweet from earlier (The 3m would not get his left boot tweet)
I did wonder if it might be the 'chairman's vote of confidence' but everyone deserves to be taken at their word once at least dependent on how reliable that 'word' proves to be.

Seriously, do people not learn to just be patient. Have a moan up at 11.01pm
8 hours to go, plenty of time. Most bi-polar thread everr

So you dont think that things can go wrong with transfers for them to be cancelled?

Of course Southall should be careful with what he tweets yet at the same time people should always take anything said in Football with a large pinch of salt

Just because it's past 11pm doesn’t mean deals haven't been done and will be revealed soon.
Thought I'd get that one in early.

I think they said smashed; have you ever smashed it?
    Alright there Richard Keys!
Get the name right @PaddyP17  - Keysy is known as Gibbon Mitts these days
  • For those of us that can remember, there is something to be said for the days when we knew nothing,  turned up on saturday, and found out we'd bought a player at the time the team was running out and being announced.
  • I was (still am) really hoping we would take a no risk approach to relegation and just completely take it out the equation by going hard at the window....

Still time - but McGeady and Bostock...... we need to do so much more.
How many more players do you feel we need? In addition to McGeady only as not seen Bostock announced?
Roland would have been castigated for this window.

I think we are looking at the right positions (couple midfielders and a striker is what I want).

numbers are fine - it’s the quality that isn’t.

JCH would be someone who would be good but only if Taylor stays
Not if hed been in charge of the club for 3 weeks he wouldn't.

except when it turned out to be Gordon Riddick or Maurice Setters, that is...

  • The closer we get to the deadline the more it feels like keeping hold of LT is the most important thing we can do in this window.

MS does need to deliver now after all the tweets, no one can argue that.

On a side note Swindon paid 90k for Eoin Doyle. That has to be the bargain of the window

Completely agree. I am at the airport in Minsk about to board a flight home for tomorrow’s game. If Taylor is still with us when I land I will be over the moon.

its more of a loan fee as they have only signed him until the end of the season. No idea if his contract with Bradford finishes then but its a bit of a weird deal.

Soccer base has him down as his contact expiring this summer, either way it's great business, them getting him and Yates back should at least guarantee play offs.

Hull lose Grosicki, Bowen, and only get Maddison for 17 games. Theyve been absolutely robbed lol

He looks delighted, on a sidenote as skybet better pay up, I did this to see if the market would move as a test

    LOAN
Its a strange one but West Ham and Bowen can't agree wages at the moment, so might have a knock on effect with signing Maddison long term.

Don't think they pay out on loan moves mate.

Doubt they will as loans not normally included

Hull have given Peterborough the release fee they required - but as a loan fee.

Gives Maddison the options in the summer. Glad we never agreed to that deal now.
Clever really.  He is worth what he is worth now so if he has a rough time he will be a free agent and will get a gig somewhere.  If, however, he has a blinding end to the season his stock will go up a lot and he gets a bigger signing on fee

The Maddison deal is just a bit odd, as @Addickted said, glad we passed on that

Not sure what to make of it, but two people have tweeted in the last few minutes "Taylor stays", not sure if true or a windup.
