Chelsea, United and Spurs all want a striker, the later 2 need a short term option, but none of them have got one. Says to me there isn't 1 avalible. At the level they want. I would say that is true for us

Why do we need another attacker if we can pick from Taylor, Bonne, Davidson, Hemed, Aneke, and Green, being fed by Williams and McGeady ? As ESI aren't spending on players until they get more sponsorship from UAE businesses.paulie8290 said:

Giroud wasn’t available unless Chelsea could sign a forward themselves which they couldn’t. Even then would they sell Giroud to United. Davison - not someone we should be relying on at this stage of his development
Hemed - a big step down from Taylor, as shown by the difference Taylor made against Fulham
Aneke - always injured and not really a no 9
Green - more a winger5 -

Aneke is a forward and scored within minutes of coming on against Stoke. He may be better playing behind the main strikers but he's not a midfield player.0 -

Aneke is a forward and scored within minutes of coming on against Stoke. He may be better playing behind the main strikers but he's not a midfield player.
What I'm saying is you wouldnt have him covering for Taylor either as Bowyer has already said he doesnt see him playing up front like that1 -
In a few hours we can just look forward to the match. If Lyle is still with us I will be pretty happy with the window. Bowyer signing a longer term deal and escaping the realm of RD still makes me content.3

What we're missing is a pacey Grant type striker who can be a threat getting in behind, run at players and drift out wide, all things that played a part in making the diamond work so well.killerandflash said:
