Phillips: 4.5 distribution is woeful. Puts us under pressure way too often
Lockyer: 4 didn’t come to terms with the conditions at all
Pearce: 5 lucky with the penalty claim, unlucky to be subbed ahead of Tom
Sarr: 6.5 one error, but only one who looked capable of playing out from the back
Matthews: 5.5 not bad first half, nothing 2nd
Davis: 4.5 very poor man’s Pratley on that showing
Cullen: 4.5 overrun. Not the same since the injury
McGeady: 6 a few decent runs. We looked worse when he went off
Doughty: 5 pace to burn, scares defenders, crossing dreadful
Taylor: 5 energy as always, but nothing worked. Too many little flicks, never going to happen on a flat pitch in those conditions
Hemed: 5 one “header” off his shoulder. Put in the effort, but not good enough
Smith: 4 not sure how he got on ahead of anyone else, including Amos
Green: 4.5 added pace, not much else
Bonne: 4.5 will need more minutes to get back up to speed
Referee: 4 awful

At the Valley

Phillips: 7 - No chance with the deflection on the first. Maybe should have attacked the second.

Lockyer: 5 made some tidy tackles but lost the ball in the air several times.

Pearce: 5 As above, but almost gifted a penalty and then blocked Sarr from getting to the man that scored their second.

Sarr: 6.5 made some great tackles, intercepted a few passes and was strong in the air. Put Doughty under undue pressure several times.

Matthews: 5 not as good as midweek.

Davis: 4 Pratley, he ain't.

Cullen: 6 worked hard buts still a yard behind the game since returning. So close to scoring but for a wonder save.

McGeady: 6 made things happen with the ball, shame no one was on the same wavelength.

Doughty: 5. Needs a rest.

Taylor: 6.5 best player in red. Just needs to be more selfish in front of goal and make decisions faster when pulled out to the wings. Needs to remember he can't do it all himself.

Hemed: 5 runs around a lot, a couple of good shots and a few poor decisions.

Smith: 4 hate to mark a youngster so low but honestly only noticed he was playing around 70mins.

Green: 5 added an option for us to ignore.

Bonne: 5 added an option to support Taylor physically.

Referee: 5 average.

Phillips: 6 - Not up to usual standard.
Lockyer: 5 - As above
Pearce: 5 - As Above
Sarr: 6.5 - our best player but that's not saying a lot.
Matthews: 5 - Seen him play much better.
Davis: 6 - Give him the benefit of the doubt first time I've seen him play for us
Cullen: 6 - always tries, good effort in 2nd half, but seen him much better.
McGeady: - 5.5 Some decent touches but no Jonny Williams.
Doughty: - 6 Not his best game.
Taylor: - 6 As above.
Hemed: - 5 Not the answer to a striker
Smith:  - 4 Sorry just not a championship player imo offers nothing!
Green: - 5 too late to offer anything 
Bonne: - 5 As above.

Referee: 3 one of the worst that I have seen this season some piss poor decisions for both sides, doesn't recognise a decent tackle if he sees one!

Without Williams no creativity at all!

Watching on Valley Pass in Cyprus... which gets a rating of - minus 10 for making me listen to 40mins of the Blackburn Rover commentary team.

Phillips: 6 Not much to do except pick ball out of the net. Kicking is getting worse?
Lockyer: 5 Poor performance. Had a mare first half no communication with Pearcey looked all over the place. Second half why he kept getting the ball to 'launch' chips and bad  passes forward will never know 
Pearce: 5.5 Slightly better than Lockyer was
Sarr: 6.5 Confidence is high and he is playing better each game.
Matthews: 6 Solid enough kept up well with Armstrong 
Davis: 4 Take back all the good things I said about him after Forest... Get Pratley back
Cullen: 6.5 Does everything you want simply put but needs someone in the middle with him. 
McGeady: 6 Impressed with him but unfortunately the fitness meant he was never going to last 90 mins... felt he was only player who could open it up so bit disappointed he was hooked... and not at least replaced with Oz.
Doughty: 6.5 The boy puts in a shift every game hopefully he can keep improving.
Taylor: 6 Not his best game, unlucky not to score with the header and free kicks but apart from that struggled.
Hemed: 4 One step forward in the Forest game, Two steps back today

Smith: 5 Solid enough but couldn't really improve us.
Green: 3 Dreadful performance might as well had stayed in the bench and let Oz come on instead.
Bonne: 4 Very poor pass at one point, and kept dropping deep to get the ball (Doesn't have the ability for that) and losing it

Referee: 5 Solid enough but felt Lenihan should have been booked earlier before that challenge on Mcgeady

Davis: 5.5 I thought this guy was meant to be a great tackler with good energy?
Cullen: 6.5 Still off the pace compared to pre-injury
McGeady: 6.0 A few nice touches but that’s it. Should have closed down the scorer of first goal.
Doughty: 5.5 Lots of effort but gets bullied when defending and not enough end product going forward
Taylor: 6.5 Tried but nothing came off
Hemed: 4 Afraid it’s just not working. Would have subbed him at half time.
Smith: 5.5 Didn’t see a great deal for him.
Green: 6 Hope he starts next game.
Bonne: 5.5 Not enough time on the pitch to influence the game.
Referee: 4 I appreciate you can’t tackle by kicking a player’s legs but apparently you now cannot hook your leg around and nick the ball if the opposition fall over your leg.
