Its funny I have an occasional rant about contemporary films being too long, but I thought Lawrence was the right length for what it covered! my 92 year old mum watched the Lady Vanishes the other day, and whilst its only 97 minutes long she thought they dragged it out..Bedsaddick said:

Why do none of the recommendations come from Talking Pictures channel? There's many a good old movie on there. Last night they had This Sporting Life - a real classic of the British New Wave.2

Sicario and Shawshank are great ... but Walk the Line is the standout for me, totally superb film. Joaquin Phoenix and Reese Witherspoon are excellent.0
