Mentioned it a few mentioned it a few pages back, but Tim Burgess from The Charlatans has been doing some great stuff every evening with his listening parties.

You just stick the album on, or stream it, and he gets the artists involved and live tweeting stories about the tracks and what was happening when they recorded it. Some great stuff so far (you can look back at ones already done) and looking forward to The Specials this weekend with Terry Hall and Horace Panter joining in.2 -

Come across what would have been Iceland's Eurovision entry this year and for some reason I really like it, video is pretty funny too.

Having sorted out and got rid of most of my old vynal the other day, I am going to listen to (quietly) ozzy Osbourne/ randy Rhodes tribute, I bought this in Texas in the late 80's with my late sister , great memories .0

I know most people now days download music, but who of you still buy Vinyl Albums as aposed to C.Ds.? It could be an age thing(late seventies) but I love Vinyl Records. There is more Frequency on Vinyl as opposed to suppressed music on a C.D. When I retired I treatedmyself to a new Turntable which cost £1000 and Floor standing Speakers. So in my opinion you cannot beat Vinyl, still buy new Albums on Viny.1

No ABBA on Charlton Life. Let's put that right.
Here they are with the rather groovy If It Wasn't For The Nights, from their disco-era LP of 1979 Voulez-Vous
