Chris Kamara keeps praising our defending

It sounds weird to hear someone saying we are defending so well

McGeady with the cheeky pen + red there if we hadn't been given the foul. Get him off at h/t
Thought mcgeady has been ok, not everything has come off but he’s worked hard
He's such a luxury player. There's been one great backheel but he's not had any effect on the game otherwise. Doughty or Aneke will terrify this lot

McGeady is hopefully a more consistent leko
  • Two changes at H-T please Lee.

Sarr or Purrington for Oshilaja. Guy is not a left back.

Anyone (including Amos) for McGeady. Guy is useless.

As another poster already said, Hemed doing a decent Kermorgant impression today. Matthews is quality, can only hope we stay up and he signs on. Way too good for league one.

Solid first half. Need another goal but this is 3 points for the taking. Morgan and Cullen have been impressive and useful defending from Lockyer and Matthews at times.

I'd add Lockyer and Pearce to that list.

Mcgeady shown moments of class too, but inconsistent.

So far so good. We look much better than Hull who have got relegation written all over them. We absolutely must win this game from this position. Positives are Albie and Hemed for me. Biggest disappointments are Deji who is an accident waiting to happen and must be removed before he gets sent off and Bonne who looks completely out of his depth again.

I'd add Lockyer, although his passing hasn't been all that.

We are missing Sarr's distribution* but defensively we've looked solid-ish and Pearce is obviously the man you want to stick his head in half a yard out

*this is mostly compounded by Pratley - if we could get Field on then we'll solve many of our problems

Two bits of play from Hemed the best things he’s done in a Charlton shirt.

I genuinely laughed out loud at this.

McGeady probably having one of his better games but I still don’t really see what he brings to the team.

Matthews and Hemed playing very well. Would like to see more for Bonne to run on to.

Decent half. Very nervy start followed by some bright bits of attacking play, Albie Morgan at the heart of a lot of the good stuff. Hull came back into a bit but I’d say we’re good value for the lead. Defence not looking totally convincing, particularly Deji at left back. I’d feel better with another goal for.

To be fair I'd say the only who hasnt overly impressed today is Bonne

And thats because he's the sort to run off the shoulder of the defender and hasnt really had many opportunities on the ball

At the moment I'd consider the five subs to be:

    Williams for McGeady
    Aneke for Bonne
    Field for Pratley
    Purrington for Oshilaja

Then keep Sarr back if we need him on the pitch as a replacement for Pearce (he'll surely tire more than Lockyer) or whether we do need to go ultra defensive towards the end

Don’t you mean Hull are missing his distribution  ;)

Hoping Bonne can come into it a bit more second half. Nothing quite clicking and looks a bit off the pace.

Bonne looks out of his depth in a poor standard match .
Hull are there for the taking .
