Good post JohnBoy.
Chin up mate Spurs will come good.0 -
I didn’t realise it happened to others , I took a punch to the head on a nice sunny day as I walked back to the coach that day, as a 16 year old minding his own business (prolly discussing our away numbers) and had my Charlton hat nicked .bolloxbolder said:Boycotted the news last night. Clearly going to have to do so again today.
Little old Charlton going there in 86 for the first time in eons and scouse bastards attacking scarfers on their way back to the coaches. Scum media darlings. At least it wasn't Gerrard or Carragher.
They’d just beaten us 2-0
filth2 -
It’s the earliest and the latest that the premier league title has been won.1
-
I got threatened as a 16 year old too for not wanting to join them in ‘doing the Catholic pub’0

Happened to me in the big car park on way back to coaches (plural, yeah right). Well they didn’t catch me to actually give me a dig.oohaahmortimer said:

muting liverpool and champions on twitter is a sensible move today1

Well obviously it wont be the Liverpool fans fault, never is.palarsehater said:Around 5000 congregated outside anfield last night with flares etc - who fault will it be when there’s a spike of COVID in Liverpool?1 -
Liverpool were always going to win a title eventually. This way they lost all their momentum because of the shutdown, there's bigger things on with the pandemic, and when they finally did win it it was during the crowdless match period. They didn't even play to do it, they are thankful to Chelsea, led by Frank Lampard, who has now secured more titles for Liverpool than Steven Gerrard despite being 42 years old. I think if you had to pick a way for Liverpool to win it, it would be this.Chelsea as king-makers is becoming quite a thing though. They helped City across the line in the Gerrard slip game, held Spurs up to grant Leicester the title and finished City off this year. Seems like if they're not winning it they're at least going to decide who is.2

Going for Sheff Wed based on the 'massive' clue?1 -
Suppose all top six fans have them but...

All this talk of them being a proper club, like ManUre, blah blah blah, any talk of teams buying titles now is long gone, all the top clubs in the world have to spend a huge amount to compete, Liverpool no different. Their entire fan base is made up of chancers, gloryboys and muggy Scousers that have no jobs and no personal hygiene1

Dominic Cummings?palarsehater said:Around 5000 congregated outside anfield last night with flares etc - who fault will it be when there’s a spike of COVID in Liverpool?2 -
Must be terrible having to have spend all those years in the Premier League. Plus the countless FA, League Cup and European finals.ForeverAddickted said:Suppose all top six fans have them but...2 -
Fans like us are so lucky to get to see the likes of Joe Anyinsah and Paul Benson instead of Luis Suarez or Fernando Torres thats for surePopIcon said:

Liverpool thoroughly deserved their success but hadn't won it for 30 years so anyone much younger than 40 wouldn't even remember the last time they did so.DamoNorthStand said:A brilliant football club - a real football club.
None of this artificial bollocks of City and Chelsea titles. Never had hairs on the back of my neck up at a ground that isn’t The Valley until I saw us at Anfield.
Making me think of my childhood when football was so much purer and simpler. Back to the 80s tonight. Football was so much better then.
Whilst one could argue that City and Chelsea "bought" their titles the fact is that TAA is the only player to come through their academy and start a Premier League game for them this season. The rest of the squad cost £500m and that includes the paltry amount they paid for Joe Gomez!
City have always had a solid fan base so much so that their average crowd when they were in the 3rd tier in the 1998/99 season was almost 30,000. Unlike United a fair proportion of their support also actually comes from Manchester. Equally, how many fans from down here will we see wearing Liverpool shirts now?
I have great memories of the Liverpool teams of the 70s and 80s but if the recent success of City and Chelsea was artificial I don't see how this Liverpool side's success is really any different. 30 years, as I say, is a hell of a long time.

Interesting story from Watford
Andre Gray, Nathaniel Chalobah and Domingos Quina have all been omitted from the squad, with the club saying it is to "ensure the health and safety of all players, staff and officials at today’s game". It was reported that Gray hosted a party at his home, breaking lockdown rules.0 -
Liverpool's rise under Klopp has been incredible, but their transfer business has been outstanding.
Since he took over 5 years ago their net spend is just 107m. This ranks them 14th in the league in that time period.
Everton have spent 117m more than Liverpool, and Arsenal whose fans on AFTV notoriously moan about how Kroenke never spends anything, spent 160m more.
Benteke, Sakho, Danny Ings, Jordon Ibe, Joe Allen and Danny Ward were sold for a combined total of £116m.

Didn't they sell Coutinho for more than that lot combined?0
-
Think the current bottom 5 are the teams that will only be involved in relegation - really suprised how bad villa have gone0

The bottom 5 have been pathetic since the restart, the opposite of the Championship. Andre Gray being left out after having a big birthday party rather sums it uppalarsehater said:Think the current bottom 5 are the teams that will only be involved in relegation - really suprised how bad villa have gone0 -
That's the big one, basically bought Van Dijk and Alisson with the money which has made such a difference to a side who were already very good going forward.iaitch said:Didn't they sell Coutinho for more than that lot combined?

Will Ings be at the Saints next year?0

Liverpool might buy him, oh hang on that's where Southampton got him from.2

Palace C***s 0-1 Burnley
Goal by Mee0 -
Referee bottled a red for Ayew and now giving an obvious GK as a corner for Palarse.
Disappointing to see refs still take pity on them1 -
Ayew is cack.0
-
Palace struggle when Zaha isn't supporting the attack.
Mark Bright in the crowd, unrecognisable with an afro.0
