boggzy said:I actually liked the cut of his jib when he said he didn't particularly like football, didn't support a team and that he just concentrated on scoring goals.
However, I'm now inclined to think that was just attention seeking bollocks like nearly everything else he says.0 -
Lyle seemed very definite that he had a life changing move lined up, so it is quite surprising that nothing has happened yet5

pretty sure if he did have a 'life changing' move already lined up, he (and the club in question) would be shouting from the rooftops about it now...4

If we assume he's going to a Championship club then unless you're a team who's just been relegated and have parachute payments then you're probably re-evaluating your summer transfers. Suddenly that 20k a week offer to a 30 year striker with a poor recent injury record might not seem such a great deal.
I'm sure he'll be ok though. It's not as if he won't get a deal somewhere.2 -

Wasnt sure if I believed him at the time and did make me hope that he'd play seeing there was no certainty over him getting a better move if he did leave
Seems that could well be the case now
Oh well0 -
The season finished less than 2 weeks ago. Keep in mind there were a lot of clubs still battling to go up/stay up right up to the wire.
The season doesn’t start for another 5-6 weeks, and the window doesn’t close until October. He will get something.0 -

PV and AB ride into town as shining knights, buy Ivan Toney and slap in front of him a contract they would've dangled in front of Lyle......

As has been said before, Taylor could have left us with his head held high and at least partially with the best wishes of the fans if he had seen his contract through to the end.
He clearly doesn't give a shit what we think of him, having forever joined the ranks of Parker and Murphy et al.
My guess is that had he signed a contract way back, he would have been more happy about seeing the season to its conclusion, retaining his honour, reputation and great memories of his time here.
It only makes sense to burn his bridges if he had no contract in place. Ironically, this suggests to prospective employers that he must think his body is fragile and he has no scruples. I hope that bites him in the bum.1 -
Rangers have signed Kemar Roofe which surely rules out Lyle going there1
