He's more than predictable and boring now.
I remember him posting he doesn't do running so as you say @Dazzler21, not keeping fit was a self made decision.0 -
The most deluded. Self righteous. Twat. I’ve ever had the displeasure of hearing from.0

"“I don’t want the limelight and I don’t need it." Yeah, right.

He don't offend me, I'm a nobody to him but his big school comments are c***ish to the likes of Jackson and Bowyer who blew bubbles and grew his talent for two seasons.2
-
Skim read.
Typical Taylor bollocks.
"The manager supported my decision"
Except Bowyer was pretty negatively vocal about the decision.
" ....sounds a lot like an injury to me - every other player would have done it in my position"
What, like, Mr Glass Williams?
"I earned this, I deserve it, no one made me but me"
Except coaching and advice from staff.
Doesn't keep himself fit for a job that's pretty reliant on.... being fit.
Just keeps repeating himself, "I was right" "everyone supported me", "don't care about the abuse/ negative publicity" just sounds like you're trying too hard to convince everyone, including yourself Lyle.
Bore off, you've got a new fan base to wind up on twitter now anyway.

Your apology means a lot Lyle thank you

Let's not give him the limelight he craves. Arrogant, selfish twat. Wish Charlton could sue him for breach of contract.4

Bloody hell, I knew what to expect but I'm still surprised at the amount of back-patting he managed to perform for himself in that interview. I don't think I've ever seen someone talk themselves up that much in an interview about a move, let alone when they've let their team down that badly leading up to it. It's a remarkable piece of work that. The only genuinely interesting thing to take away from that interview is that in the second article when he was talking about the quality players he played alongside he included Lewis Page and Ben Purrington. I always got the feeling he enjoyed playing alongside Purrington. Got the feeling they read each other quite well.

I think Taylor misses the point of why fans are angry and that is because Taylor you did not bloody when the team had a chance to save its Championship place.90
-
I don't really care what Taylor has to say. We all know what he's about, we don't need to hear his pathetic self-justifications for it.
I'd be more interested to hear from the deathly silent Chris Solly about what his reasons for bailing on his team mates were.0 -
Boo fucking hoo Taylor. Bore off.0
-
Yep bloke is just having a bitch and a whinge as to why he didnt deserve the abuse
Claims that playing so often could have seen him get injured - Yet funnily we didnt get one injury after the restart!!
Even my wife has said he needs to take some of the blame for relegation
He needs to realise its not that he didnt stay for the whole duration its the fact he didnt stay for THREE games, Sat - Sat - Tue!!!3 -
Didn't take much from this as expected. But one thing I did take is that we must keep hold of Bowyer at all costs!3

I think this sums it up quite nicely; LT is a good footballer but a bad bloke. End of.0

And a coward.0

There is something odd about Lyle. A highly intelligent guy and an excellent footballer. But into his thirties, the highest club he has been with is us. And not us at our peak. There has to be a reason for that. Maybe we were the right club for him at the right time, but if that is the case, he has not really shown an appreciation of that.
Ultimately, playing football is what footballers do. Whilst there is always a chance of injury, it is minimal in a handful of games considering how many games a footballer will play in their careers. Even cricketers and F1 drivers play football and sometimes they get injuries. It is strange that a footballer doesn't play football when under contract to do so and seems extreme risk management that could ultimately damage his reputation more.3 -
Who's this Lyle Taylor you talk of?3

Highly intelligent - Why? I think you give him too much credit
Self opinionated - certainly6 -

Yes the club was a mess, yes you were dicked about by the owners we have been trying to be rid of... Yes you got a move with a bit more money... Well done you.
But YOU let everyone decent associated with the club down... And YOU playing in some of the remaining games would have likely seen us survive relegation. You let your team, fans, management and staff down when you was needed most... Bearing in mind you had the captains armband at times.
Me personally... I want to call you all the names under the sun... But most of all I'm just dissapointed like most others. You let everyone down.10
