    As a realistic permanent signing I think Bogle is about as good as we can hope for. Decent age, physical, should complement Washington, point to prove

    Apart from one good season in L2, nothing in his stats scream he's gonna be great in League 1. Been poor for a few seasons now. Happy to be proved wrong though.

    4 goals in 12 games for Pompey at this level is good.

    27 games in League 2. 76 games above League 2.

    Not the goalscorer we need, but should offer some physicality and hold up play in the Aneke mould, hopefully without blowing out of his arse after 15 minutes. I don't know what some of you expect.

    We need a presence up front, someone to hold on to the ball and bring our talented midfield in, for good or ill, Bowyer clearly does not believe that Aneke can play that role for a full 90 minutes. If Bogle can be that guy, then he will be an important part in what we are building, and if he can stay fit, I am sure he will chip in with a few goals given the standard of opposition we are facing.

    Based on what? Certainly not his goal record. I think it's a reasonable signing, but I think people got a bit over excited with Sandgaard that we were going to sign some top player who was better than Bonne, in a lower division
