Maatsen joined Feyenoord's academy at the age of 7, but was dropped for allegedly being too small. He moved to Sparta Rotterdam and then PSV Eindhoven, before joining Chelsea in 2018.[7] On 25 September 2019, he made his debut for the London club as a substitute in a 7–1 EFL Cup victory over Grimsby Town.[8]

Is it too late for him to dye it pink for October?

Bowyer mentioned that when we signed Levitt that all previous loan signings come with a recall clause so I wouldnt be surprised

  • Spoke to my Chelsea supporting mate and he said  Maatsen is very highly thought of. Looks a good signing to me.

Bowyer says: "He’s exciting and different to what we have.”"

Yeah, sorry about that, Ben.

Yep. Wait until we are rinsed with injuries and then he gets recalled

Chelsea mate of mine said exactly the same! Exciting stuff!
  • I see he's a Dutch youth international. Not sure what's going on at the moment in terms of youth football, but potentially another player to be called up for international duty?
  • How many dutch players have we had who played for Charton. Struggling to think of any in the last 15 years or so?

I think it's Lyle, just dyed it to get back in and hopefully without anyone noticing?

LAst left back we got from Chelsea was mustard, if this guy's in a similar mould he'll be just what we need,

Welcome Ian. (You don't get many Ian's these days, do you?)

    Wigan 0.
    You heard it here first
  • It'll be interesting if Bowyer plays him as an attacking full back (which is how we used DaSilva under Robinson) or as a wing back
