Think Hughton could do very well there, obviously proven track record of getting out the Championship. For Newcastle they went up on 102 points scoring 90 goals, Brighton went up on 93 points and 74 goals and with Birmingham although they didn't go up 76 points and scoring 78 is not to be sniffed at.

Something like 30 senior players are in their squad so he has the tools.
  • I am sure its pinker this year

despite everything he still deserves credit for this

I realise it's for charity but, let's face it, he loves the attention it gets him. It gets him in the limelight, centre stage. IMHO craving attention as much as he does suggests he's actually pretty insecure - possibly due to childhood stuff.

Taylor does seem like a very Hughton sort of striker. He's not better than Lewis Grabban though and they're quite similar so it might still be time on the bench for Lyle.

When he came on the other day I was quite surprised at how many commentators/fans were taking the mickey out of his hair. They clearly had no clue that he dyes it every October for charity.
Seems Mr Taylor isn’t quite as well known as he thinks he is 🤷‍♀️

He's a legend in his own bath time.
  • He said he’ll pay money to charity for every goal he scores in October. Last year that was £0, looks like it will be the same again this year. Lyle gets the attention, the charity gets no money...
  • A new headmaster for Taylor to impress eh!

Think Lyle's ignoring the terms of his contract again. I'm sure Forest bought him to score goals!

Big boy school not going too well for him. What a shame.
He prob doesn't care as long as he gets the money

I'm sure he'll care. He loves to be the centre of things, more than just a 'team player'. Even with bright pink hair the fans wont be chanting his name. Hey ho.

That’s true for more than one reason. Firstly they don’t know who he is and he’ll be lucky to be as liked at Forest as he was here before, secondly there aren’t any fans in the stadium so no is getting chants. He will miss it more when we can go back to games and still no one chants his name.

I hope he does so he can get Injured on their shit pitches.

This thread completely goes round in circles.

    Taylor isn’t starting.

    He’s on decent money though.

    Taylor still hasn’t scored.

    He’s raking it in though.

Big school not going well for Taylor.

He won’t care, he’ll be a millionaire soon.

I’m sure he’s very happy with his contract and the money it’s brought him, but no one, in any profession would be completely happy and fulfilled taking home whatever money he’s on while barely working for or earning it. And the dreadful start Forest have made, coupled with how little he’s played/scored definitely won’t sit well with him, no matter how much he claims to not like football.
  • Is solly and lyle first players to refuse to play for Charlton?

I would not play for Southall, so I have some sympathy for them
Parker reportedly refused to play, hence his 'dream' move to Chelsea oblivion.
Watching MOTD2 he looks like he is auditioning for a remake of The Krays. Half small time gangster half Hitler youth.

Heard he’s going to study law, wants to become a judge, he spends so much time on the bench.

Can we just take it as a given that some people aren't interested in ex-players and some are?

Do we really have to go through this every few pages on every ex-player thread

    If you're not interested, DOTT

Can't believe the number of threads on CL about ex players, this one, Bonne, Solly, Phillips. Have I left any out. They didn't give a monkeys about leaving us. Why should we give a monkeys about them?

As others have said, if it does not interest you don't open the thread. Some peole like to monitor the players career after they have moved on. I would not cross the road to watch F1, a friendly match, an under 23 match, drink beer, etc so I do not open those threads.

    I really don't get it

I can't stand RIP threads, so I don't open them. It really is that easy.
