RIP Paul - a big supporter of the club in many ways. Lovely tribute from Peter Varney on Twitter.

RIP Paul, this bloody virus is non-discriminating, it takes who it wants. My condolences to his family and all his friends, so very sad.

    RIP Paul.
I have to say that your company's sponsorship of our shirts was something that made me proud. A local company, involved in making and supplying something useful, was a much better sponsor in my view than betting companies or the like. My condolences to Paul's family and friends.
This damn virus has hit Charlton hard, again.

    Terribly sad
Condolences to @Hartleypete and all your family and friends.

Sykes pumps are a proud long established company and I was told by @SE7toSG3 that it was Sykes pumps that used to pump out WW1 trenches.

    A very sad day.
They made a number of pumps in both wars that benefited the Allied War effort but their most famous innovation was the 'rolling friction winch' used for Kite Balloons, this was particularly important for Artillery Observation.

I was thrilled when they were our sponsor, a local company, with heritage and owned by Addicks, far preferable to a bland online Cassino or Far Eastern energy drink.

Whenever I met Paul he was really good company, loved this football club and his passing is yet another tragic loss for the Charlton family, a very sad day indeed.
