Paul was my best mate for 50 years since meeting at Eaglesfield school class of 73. First brought together by our love of Charlton Athletic, we have shared most important Charlton memories together home, away and at Wembley. To realise that he will never sit in his seat in front on mine in the north lower is too painful to even consider today. My thoughts are with his son, brother and family. You have taken your seat in the heavens with you dad and our old mate Dave Jones, who sadly passed back in 1986, way too early, will miss you dearly. RIP Paul - a big supporter of the club in many ways. Lovely tribute from Peter Varney on Twitter.

Rest in peace - I hope his family, friends and loved ones can take some small comfort in the kind words on this thread and elsewhere. Thoughts are with all who knew him.2

RIP Paul.
I have to say that your company's sponsorship of our shirts was something that made me proud. A local company, involved in making and supplying something useful, was a much better sponsor in my view than betting companies or the like. My condolences to Paul's family and friends.
This damn virus has hit Charlton hard, again.8 -

Terribly sad
Condolences to @Hartleypete and all your family and friends.
Sykes pumps are a proud long established company and I was told by @SE7toSG3 that it was Sykes pumps that used to pump out WW1 trenches.
A very sad day.
I was thrilled when they were our sponsor, a local company, with heritage and owned by Addicks, far preferable to a bland online Cassino or Far Eastern energy drink.
Whenever I met Paul he was really good company, loved this football club and his passing is yet another tragic loss for the Charlton family, a very sad day indeed.10 -
