    Can't get enthused about this move. Smacks of desperation for me. I'd stick with Naby and trust that his confidence will continue to improve. This fella should be back up for the back up centre backs only.

    When I've watched him he's look shaky and slow. Probably a quantity not quality signing but happy to be proven wrong.

    LLoyd Doyley had played 443 games for Watford over 14 years.

    The quintessential One club man.

    Quite a while since he played 1st team Football. (sounds familiar)

    If Fit ? He can play RB or CB and still only 32.

    Will he be able to drive to Sparrows lane from his home in Herts each day ?

    Been buying a few player shirts off someone and he offered me this one. Try to contain your jealousy. Was it ever confirmed anywhere apart from this thread that he was with us and involved with the squad for a game? Not fussed if he wasn't as it was only cheap but just curious.

    Cheers mate was aware of that one but not sure if he'd have worn this shirt with the nameset and badges for that? Earlier in the thread it says he was included in an extended matchday squad so would've had a shirt made up for that. Just wondered if there was any confirmation.

    Iirc he never made a first team matchday squad for us and moved on to Rotherham where he played a few times.

    Just going by this thread it says non-contract basis. Not exactly sure how that works.

    We have signed a few players on a non contract basis. I remember David Kerlake appearing on the bench for us at the start of a season only to sign for Ipswich a week later. Bally Smart is another example.

    I believe that they are. 

    A non Charlton example would be Alex Bruce who started the 2017 season at Bury before returning to Wigan.

    Paulo monteiro was here on a non contract basis wasn’t he? I think it’s effectively a week to week contract. Either party can break it at any time.
