Interim chief scout!Curb_It said:
"The move for Doyley is likely to have been engineered by Mark Stow, Watford’s former chief scout who has ended up at the Valley via Cardiff and Blackburn."LenGlover said:A Watford perspective:

Do we have a scout then? Did I miss this news?1 -
Is that the actual Dr Kish or the interim Dr Kish.ross1 said:

Can't get enthused about this move. Smacks of desperation for me. I'd stick with Naby and trust that his confidence will continue to improve. This fella should be back up for the back up centre backs only.1

I preferred his brother Paper...2

Thought his brother was Bodie

When I've watched him he's look shaky and slow. Probably a quantity not quality signing but happy to be proven wrong.0

LLoyd Doyley had played 443 games for Watford over 14 years.
The quintessential One club man.
Quite a while since he played 1st team Football. (sounds familiar)
If Fit ? He can play RB or CB and still only 32.
Will he be able to drive to Sparrows lane from his home in Herts each day ?
Has he got a SAT Nav ?
Is Stephen Kelly still a missing Person ?0 -
Stephen Kelly's finally got out of that traffic on the M25. Set to sign, hope there's no traffic through Eltham on the way to Sparrows lane4

Corrr... Just imagine if we changed our minds about offering him a Contract after being stuck in traffic for so long.cafc4life said:Stephen Kelly's finally got out of that traffic on the M25. Set to sign, hope there's no traffic through Eltham on the way to Sparrows lane
You could just imagine a sequel to the film: Falling Down2 -
it's now early afternoon 11/11 .. that traffic must be REALLY bad ((:>)cafc4life said:Stephen Kelly's finally got out of that traffic on the M25. Set to sign, hope there's no traffic through Eltham on the way to Sparrows lane

Been buying a few player shirts off someone and he offered me this one. Try to contain your jealousy. Was it ever confirmed anywhere apart from this thread that he was with us and involved with the squad for a game? Not fussed if he wasn't as it was only cheap but just curious.

Played in the Kent Senior Cup for us...

Cheers mate was aware of that one but not sure if he'd have worn this shirt with the nameset and badges for that? Earlier in the thread it says he was included in an extended matchday squad so would've had a shirt made up for that. Just wondered if there was any confirmation.ForeverAddickted said:Played in the Kent Senior Cup for us...

Iirc he never made a first team matchday squad for us and moved on to Rotherham where he played a few times.Talal said:

He never actually signed for us though did he - So wouldnt have been eligible for any first team matches surely?0
-
😂 Interesting! So he must've been involved with the squad for at least two games then.

Just going by this thread it says non-contract basis. Not exactly sure how that works.ForeverAddickted said:He never actually signed for us though did he - So wouldnt have been eligible for any first team matches surely?

We have signed a few players on a non contract basis. I remember David Kerlake appearing on the bench for us at the start of a season only to sign for Ipswich a week later. Bally Smart is another example.ForeverAddickted said:He never actually signed for us though did he - So wouldnt have been eligible for any first team matches surely?1 -
Are non-contracted players allowed to play in League games?Richard J said:

Was Juan Cobian on non-contract? He was on the bench for one league game.0

I believe that they are.ForeverAddickted said:

A non Charlton example would be Alex Bruce who started the 2017 season at Bury before returning to Wigan.1 -
Luke Holden. 1 cap wonder0

He joined us on loan rather than on non contract termsSouthWest_Addicks said:Luke Holden. 1 cap wonder1 -
Paulo monteiro was here on a non contract basis wasn’t he? I think it’s effectively a week to week contract. Either party can break it at any time.0
-
I have no memory at all of him being involved with us2
-
I don’t think the club officially announced anything, other than perhaps mentioning him in an u23/Kent Cup match report?1
