  • Well done lads, more of the same and keep plugging away.  Set up for a Schwartz winner.

First time we've kept a first half clean sheet at home since December 2nd.

Millar needs to come off. Doesn't seem interested at all.

Get Aneke on for him and put Washington out there. Or straight swap for DJ.

We look solid but our build up play is just far too slow again.

You just know when we play it into the box they will have more people back than we have forward. Inject some pace into it.

Can’t knock the effort or organisation at all. But we need to pass the ball about better. I know they are League One players but we even did it first 5 mins. Then it just goes looooooong. Pretty easy for Northampton to defend.

They then asked for a yellow for some pushing back and forth on the free kick.

Covered end second half it is then, with "The Beast"
  • Playing reasonably well, looking pretty solid defensively but not really threatening their goal. This will end 0-0 I think. Would like to see Aneke and Schwartz for Stockley and Washington at maybe the hour mark.

Pearce, after being elbowed in the head, was down on the floor for 3 minutes +.

Why only 1 minute of Added Time?

  • I think we are now firmly established as a mediocre mid table L1 side - things are looking up.

Really think Miller should have been rested this evening. Not offering us much at all in recent games

Seen more than my fair share of these games at The Valley on a Tuesday night.

    Maybe we'll grind out a 1-0 win.

Doing the basics. I'll take that right now.

An OK half that could have been much better with better delivery in and around the box. Defence is comfortable bar Albie not racking his man a couple of times. Watson doing well and very involved.  Millar not at his best and he needs some space and a good decision to go his way; he has the pace, but not being used so far.  Maybe switch him and Albie for the first part of the second half? Shinnie for Albie will happen at an hour, and maybe DJ for Millar if he can't get going. Chuks for Washington at some point too I expect.

Still confident that we can win this!

    COYA!

Was that Chuks who just muffed trapping the ball there?
  • I'll just copy and paste what I've said in the last 27 games - not a classic, is it?

The game is crying out for Aneke. And surprisingly I'd bring him on for Stockley - Washington is making some good runs.

And what on earth has happened to Millar? First couple of games I thought he was the real deal but he's been hopeless again tonight.

Might help playing on the left where he started in January & played really well.

Do you know, that would be terrific.

For the 3 points, yes ..... but also for Schwartz.

I did the washing up I was so bored.

Not one moment of quality or skill in 45 mins.

All a bit cagey and tight. Millar’s dipped off past few games, hasn’t he?

It seems my stream is almost 5 minutes behind today!

I think we've played quite well as individuals, but some concerning lack of chemistry still and JFC pumping the ball up to stockley every two minutes, but we've looked better building up our attacks today. Aneke IMO would have got more involved.

At least when we gave teams a two goal head start it made it interesting.

Have they got Curbs standing in a hole? He looks tiny compared to Fortune. I know Jon's a big lad, but not that tall.

My thoughts exactly. Doesn't look the same player on the right.
