Pratley will get plenty of game time when Watson is suspended. He's got to survive 3 more games without another booking to avoid a 2 match ban
    I was thinking the same.

It is likely to be a physical game,on a muddy pitch in windy conditions.Pratley must start in midfield, with strict instructions to remain calm at all times, and not do anything stupid.

Cue CL comments after the game on whether to invite him back again....win and he’s alright, lose and he’s shite...

I know it's not popular but if JFC isn't fit I would play Pratley with Watson.  More than 2 of the others is too weak defensively.

Either that or change the system, which really should be a big no no.

It's easier to win when you don't have to score 3 or more.

How stupid am I that I'm now looking forward to this with a small amount of optimism?

Fool me once, shame on you.  Fool me five hundred times, shame on me.

Three big strong lads at the back and they don’t concede a lot. I think the left sided one is weaker? I would expect Stockley to play predominantly on the side that is weaker with Washington playing more centrally. Millar to also be in close attendance.
Longer balls into the corners and try and turn their 3-5-2 a 5-3-2.

Looking forward to seeing Ogbeta as well. Left sided player with a good pedigree in football. Maybe one we would like to nick.
  • Another 2-1 victory. It's definitely a must win if we want to keep the season alive.

    Amos
    Gunter, Famewo, Pearce, Maatsen
    Watson
    Shinnie, JFC, Millar
    Stockley, Washington

Another 2-1 win and a few eyebrows are raised again.
I’d stick Smith in for JFC if he is injured.  Still think we’ll have enough, Smith seems to be improving slightly each time he gets minutes so why not.

Really dislike the Slop after our play off games. Typical that JFC is out again as he seems to make us tick at the moment. 1-1 honours even.
  • Would go with the following:

                      Amos

    Gunter Famewo Pearce Maatsen/Purrington

         Smith    Watson   Morgan

    Washington/DJ  Aneke/Stockley  Millar

    Big game this.

They beat us three times in 2018 out of the 4 times we played them. Then we did the double on them last season.

As we managed a 1-1 last time out, I am going for a 2-1.

I expect to see us line up like so:

    Amos
    Gunter - Famewo - Pearce - Maatsen
    Morgan - Watson - F.Caskey - Millar
    Aneke- Washington

Subs: M.Brewer, Oshilaja, Pratley, Jaiyesimi, Shinnie, Stockley, Schwartz

Personally I'd prefer we go for the following:

    Amos
    Gunter - Famewo - Pearce - Maatsen
    Morgan - Shinnie - F.Caskey - Millar
    Aneke - Schwartz

Subs: M.Brewer, Oshilaja, Pratley, Watson, Jaiyesimi, Stockley, Washington

Sorry Dazzler - last season ???
  • they are a strong side and with jfc out feel we should go 4-3-3 (4-5-1 in defence)

Another 2-1 win prediction Aneke and millar

                         Amos

    Gunter famewo Pearce Maartsen

               Shinnie  Pratley. Watson

    Washington.                       Millar.
                         Stockley

    subs
    maynard brewer
    deji
    morgan
Aneke (half time sun for stockley if not done business in first half)
    Smith
    scwartz

I am pretty sure how they will set up. The same way every away team does at the Valley.

I think a win. I’d like it to be convincing. I’m not sure I want to see Pratley and Watson. COYR!

The last couple of games will prove to be just a false dawn. Bowyer will set us up all wrong & we'll be behind at half time. He'll then have to make 3 changes at half time but all to no avail.

    0-2.

    Salop......salop.....salop.

45 MPH gusts predicted for 3pm. They’ll need a bucket of sand to stop the ball blowing away when they try to take corners.

We did not handle windy weather well last time. I hope we do better today.

Hope we’ve learned from our mistakes. Press when the wind’s behind you? Amos to use a lower trajectory? Couldn’t do much worse than at Fleetwood.

The bit where we place the ball when taking corners is very grassless and smooth. Match abandoned. Aaaagh!
