Shame, I would have welcomed him back in a heartbeat if he hadn't been such a tosser.

His stance a Charlton was appalling, how a respected club like Forest took him on I dont know, who wants to play with people that will let you down in a heartbeat, back to the lower leagues to count his money.

One year at big school, now heading back to the infants...
With a pocket full of cash which he wouldn't have had if he stayed with us

But he was never staying with us as his contract was up. He was always going to get his pocketful of cash. I don't think many would have begrudged him that if he'd fulfilled his contract and done the right thing.

As it is, he's still being forced out of big school...

He'll be back, we will boo him at the first match, he'll get a goal, he'll be forgiven, but (as the Irish bard Andrea Corr once said) "Forgiven, but not Forgotten"... and he will probably do exactly the same again and slope off to Wigan or Derby.

Honestly who cares? He’s made a fortune and that’s all he was after. Being bitter and holding resentment only negatively impacts you as an individual
    Thank you Marge Proops...

    (One for the youngsters)
  • I'd have him back no question. Forgive and forget.

Fuck that fuck him. It's like getting back with your ex who shagged your best mate.

Would he have the same hunger? Playing with that determination made him a better player. He had a point to prove, he wanted to prove his doubters wrong. By getting a big Championship contract he’s done that.

Happy to see it's not worked out for him apart from his bank balance.

He only had to play 9 games but he couldn't be bothered. Fuck him

I think that - putting aside the refusing to play when still contracted, he'll turn 32 during next season and he'll be on the way down not the way up.

I think he won't have the same work rate/energy/fitness of 2 or 3 years ago, even if we did sign him I don't think we'd necessarily be getting the same Lyle Taylor.

Some things in football can’t be forgiven. What he did is one of them.
  • Sadly, we already know how he'll answer his critics.

Would snap him up. Proven at this level.

    NEVER sing his name again.

Would rather have him back than him going to a rival. We all know he would do the biz in this league.

At the same time would be just as happy to see him join a league one rival with us going up and his new team staying in league one for another season.

If we did sign the greedy turd i will be booing him every time he touched the ball for us until he scores and then I shall boo him some more once I'd stopped celebrating.

Lyle Taylor is History concerning Cafc.
Remember the good times and move on as there is too much baggage being displayed.
He is an ex player who played the best football of his career when at Cafc.
At 31 he could still have good moments in the game but that should be no concerns of ours either way.

I bear all my venom at Matthew Southall + co for making sure that Lyle couldn't wait to get away from the comedy club under the odious Southall and the other leeches.

Shame because his part in our successful League 1 campaign will now be erased from history which is disappointing.

New heros to be found now.

Think that Taylor would come in with a billy big bollocks attitude and we dont need that around the place.

Taylor earned himself cult status but it went when he decided that his team and team mates werent enough to keep playing out the rest of his contract (2 games) and just decided to down tools and bolt.

Personally dont want him back and tbh, he wouldnt drop down unless it was for a big bag cash.

Which is what it's all about.
Taylor will not be in the slightest bit concerned.  He set himself up for life joining Forest.  Good luck to him.

Would rather sign Stockley than Taylor, too much water under the bridge, he’s got used to a championship wage, we ain’t gonna pay him that, and a lot of fans wouldn’t want him back, it ain’t gonna happen, don’t worry!

Personally think he’d be happy to sit out his contract , even if it means he barely plays.
