    Midfield is completely falling apart.

Phillips Rice and Mount in the middle may as well not be there.
Mount has played some excellent passes
Doesn't matter if he doesn't bother closing down and pressing.

I’m usually England’s biggest defender but that was disgraceful. Utter dog shit.

If we play like that second half I can see Scotland nicking a win.

I get why Kane does it. He’s not used to being in a team with creative outlets and he’s trying to do too much.

Southgate needs to tell him to play as a ST or he’s off

Dear oh dear... He didn't close the one ball that he really should have and his team mates let him know.

He's been pressing the backline as have Kane, Sterling and Foden.

    Sterling for Grealish
    Phillips for Bellingham

Keep the ball. Move it with pace and we win.

    Feels like we’re playing for a 0-0
As I said earlier.......you dont want to win this group.

I think Steve Clarke has outsmarted Southgate a bit. Playing 2 up top is worrying our defence a bit and Gilmour in the middle is getting too much time.
Take Stirling off or even Mount who has contributed little,  get Grealish on.

Good work from Scotland but I think a much better second half will follow from England.

Nothing in England’s locker to cause the slightest concern to the real football teams in this competition.

Also don't understand why you name 2 gk on the bench
    It’s in the rules.

We don't look like tournament winners, watching England can be so frustrating at times.

You obviously always want to beat Scotland, but in the context of the tournament, a draw is not such a bad thing. It's too slow with too much sideways and backwards from England. Foden, Mount, and Sterling need to be looking to turn to face Scotland's goal more but no need to be too gung ho either.

Grealish or Sancho for Sterling at halftime for me.

Gilmour bar a couple of moments has been gash.

Well as usual for England a squad packed with talent who perform week In week out being nullified by a jackass dictating the tactics and picking the team. Piss poor all round. We will probably nick it 1-0 but tactically inept imo

The way I see if we probably aren’t winning this tournament. Just have a go with some of the world class attacking talent you have.

You never know, if it clicks we might be able to outscore teams.

I can’t see us grinding out a result against any of the top sides right now.

This. We're playing him as a lone striker, we don't need him to drop back. Stay up there or we'll play someone who will

Sterling needs to come off, has been poor.

He's a midfielder, should be dropping back when we lose the ball.

This is why Scotland have mountains of space in the middle and passing around us at ease.

Kane seems so determined to play deep like at Spurs but when we get it forward theres nobody in the box. This isn’t Spurs. Needs to stay up top.

Okay Lee. Rice or Phillips as holding midfielders should have been there ahead of him for me.

I'm so confident England will win that I'm struggling to get excited for the game.

Would love a close game for a bit of excitement but I'm afraid it'll be a walk in the park for England. Some of the Scotland side would struggle to get into the Charlton first 11 ffs!
No walk in the park so far.

Does Foden play bass for Years and Years?

FWIW I'd take off Rice or Phillips for another forward, they're both occupying the same space too often.
  • It’s the sort of game I expected. If Scotland tire, we’ll nick one. If they go one up, we’re going to struggle. Two draws, though, and we’re in the last 16.

Sterling shouldn’t be playing. He offers nothing.
