    Bale isn't 100 times better than Gunter and for the last two years in game time, not as good an option.

    On the subject of wages in the Champ take a look at this… so maybe a desired free agent on £18k isn’t so laughable after all.

    The spreadsheets (not made in excel) are keeping track of the Lifer rumours. Messi's salary really has fuck all to do with Charlton rumours.

    I'm sure Luton aren't paying Ince anything.....he plays for Stoke. He was on loan at Luton last season but I doubt they were paying much towards it.

    Around 25+ years ago I slightly knew a Premier League footballer who was transferred around a bit over a few seasons. I recall he went from £750 PW at Chesterfield as a first team teenager, to £2,000 PW at Southampton when sold. After a year or two was sold again to Blackburn and was put on £13,000 PW. I know this was some time ago but it seems that in football, wage rises appear to go up without reason or proportion, to the lay person who argues the toss over a 1% annual rise.

    Morning Chaps....Any legit rumors today? And if not, massive panic attacks on a nuclear level?

    There will be nothing heroic about failure this year. We had a full year to prep for it, and everything is in place. Promotion should be expected. As it stands, the squad is not good enough for that, so we need more players. I'm confident TS/SG/NA know what they're doing... we're still in the 'cut-price' and free market now to see how we can fill some gaps, then we move on to the full-price market to get those 2 or 3 we really want, then the loan market to shore up the remaining gaps. We have no reason not to trust the current set-up other than years of misuse by previous owners...of course, that's quite a big reason. In TS and NA we trust.
