Is it? - Welling and most other Non-League teams will be desperate for revenue after this last year and a half.

What if they make it £5 and barely anyone shows up?

They'd probably end up losing more money, rather than making it

£10-£12 ish is about the going rate for a non-league friendly. Im pretty sure I paid that to watch Dulwich v Charlton a few years ago.

    I know. I wouldn't pay a penny over £10.99.

Yep £10, and that was 6 years ago, and it wasnt even our first team!

I believe Welling posted big debts not long ago. They need the money, as do most non league clubs. To be honest, it's a bit on the high side for a friendly, but it helps grass roots football.

Is it though? How much do you think it should be?

Disagree. It’s a fair price against League 1 side. Also, be aware how much money non-league sides like Welling have lost in the past 15 or so months.

Not sure I’m desperate enough for this.

Gillingham have had a big player turnover this close season (so far) ..  I won't be there ..  it'll be interesting hearing how the Gills are shaping up from those who do go

Compares with £10 (£5 concessions) for Dartford v Charlton. Which is the better value depends on the sides Charlton or Gills put out but I would have thought Charlton were a bigger draw. Having said that I don't blame Welling for the price.
Top sides can sometimes charge lower level teams a fee for playing them. I assume neither us nor Gills would here.
