£1 million pounds plus wages of 500k - 750k over two year contract is an awful lot for a league one club to stump up. I just can’t see it’s viable. If Crewe are genuinely wanting £1million then it’s only championship clubs in the running. Personally I think they’d take £500k once the interest wains.
The viability, or other wise, of the deal for the purchaser isn't the vendors concern is it?
Why should Crewe knock down the price just because its not viable for us to pay it?

We sold Lookman for a lot more while playing at this level. Brentford paid a lot for Toney from Posh. It’s not a lot when it’s a young attacking player who could be sold for £5-10m, maybe more in a year or two.
Sounds positive from Covered End Lad. So many moving parts. Hopefully the floodgates will open soon as we get closer to the season. As much as we want to buy, clubs that have players looking to leave won’t want them hanging around so they can get their replacements in etc

Every player has a price, either pay it or don't.
That would depend just how much Crewe need the money. I’m sure they would like £1 million but they need to live in the current world where clubs might have to take the money where they can. I’d be shocked if anyone pays a million pounds for a league one player this window. If Crewe are desperate for funds then selling Dale for 500k might be there only option.
Hello Mr Levey Pep here, I want to buy Harry Kane. How does 100 million sound?
It sound very good Pep but it's really not really viable once you have paid his wages etc. Let's call it £50 million for cash.
I said it wasn’t viable for league one clubs during the current financial climate. We’re told a lot of clubs are in dire straits. They’ll take the money where they can to survive in many cases.

As I have said before they might take much less than they are asking for now, if they really need the money, nearer the end of the window. The window is open for another 6 weeks or so.
They have 2 or 3 very desirable players, they probably need to raise x amount of money. If they can do that through selling 1 and keeping the other 2 of course they are going to try that.
The only clubs that this doesn't apply to in this division are probably us, Wigan and Sunderland because the only players we have that anyone else would want to buy have either just signed or signed new contracts.
Ipswich are still holding out for top dollar for a few of their players they know are going. The prices won't go down yet. If at all.

It's not a lot anyway imo. Kirk and Dale for 1.5-2 mill would be extremely good business and not for Crewe imo. I believe we bid 500k or so for Kirk previously and that is what was accepted until the talks broke down?
Dack went to Blackburn for 765k as a similar level of prospect 4 years ago and was a big reason why Blackburn had a fairly easy promotion campaign. These are the kind of signings that grab you those extra points.
I believe Wycombe put a very low cheeky bid in for Dale which was turned according to Alan Nixon. Not he best source I know but surely if we double whatever that was they would bite our hand off.
Harry Beadle released by us this summer starting in first team for colchester against watford tomorrow after having connor wickham in his pocket on wednesday against palace - we will regret letting him go i guarantee u - hope we have a good buy back deal

Doubt it if we released him at the end of his contract.

Deep Completions sounds like a category on Pornhub.
According to wyscout it's "A non-cross Pass that is targeted to the zone within 20 meters of the opponent’s goal."

I don't call that a good day.
