    Agreed, but it is interesting that both Clare and Dobson were with clubs who were in an awful position, who then pulled off great escapes.

    I agree, what I posted was for anyone to make their own mind up rather than to pin an entire teams fortunes on one player.  It was more a tongue in cheek dose of positivity.  That said, he obviously played some part in a team that built a winning mentality.

    Not to be facetious but which of Ipswich signings make you sit up and pay attention? Burns got 5 in 22 in a good Lincoln side, Rakeem Harper debatably but largely unproven still after playing less than half of Birmingham's games in a poor side last year, Piggott has been decent for Wimbledon but the only club he's been decent at. Penney and Fraser are the only two I'd have wanted and I'd argue Famewo and Stockley are equally 'sit up and pay attention' worthy.
    Not just aimed at you btw Damo, I see alot of fear for Wigan and Ipswich but they're only bringing in a couple of decent individuals - wouldn't say they're light years ahead of us as things stand.

    Do they …. Think Stockley makes people sit up and take notice he came from the championship

    Only know one is a defensive player and one a winger. Only name I have is of the winger and he will be a danger at this level for sure.
    A danger to the oppo or to us?

    That's fine by me. Let the likes of Wigan etc be the big names/scalps that everyone guns for if it means that we can be the dark horse/underdog team.

    Covered end if you read back through the thread you will notice I mentioned Sean clare this am and I am commenting on the fact that we are also in for Edwards which I am also hoping for today.That does not justify a sarcastic reply.
