This is exactly how Parker should have left us. Bravo to all involved including City.

Exactly how a CEO should operate, full and frank disclosure to the fans.  So sensible to put a release clause into the contract.

Unlike another agent called Charlie Kane.
  • Does he call him Jack Greadlish? :D

Excellent statement. Villa have handled the situation very well

He might be Mr Leicester now, but Gary Lineker made the same decision when he left his hometown club for Everton
  • Grealish and Villa have both handled it very well and done well out of it.

Villa stood firm for the release clause and got it, Grealish didn't kick up a fuss and try to go earlier etc, but got his move still.

Imagine if city get Grealish, Messi and Kane!
  • Matheus Pereira who had a pretty decent season last year in a poor West Brom side has signed for Saudi club Al Hilal. Surprised he didn't get premier league interest.

Sounds like Pereira got a once in a lifetime offer from Al Hilal that PL clubs couldn't get anywhere close to financially.

Wednesday have managed to bring in 5 loan signings already
doesn't matter who and how many they bring in, Darren Moore couldn't manage extracting himself from a phone box  :disappointed:

this bloke predicted a major football talent drain to the middle east back in the 1960s .. The Goalmaker: Wally Brand : the Ball of Fire (wmpickford.blogspot.com)

Surely you can see that’s out of desperation and it’s brilliant that we are not in that position. We are saving our loan signings for the better ones who will become available at the end of the window.

Their loans look so bang average but they need it to put a team out. They are doing anything they can to get rid of all their current players who are on far too much money for league 1.

Remember, bodies in quickly doesn’t mean good bodies in quickly.

That's a another striker to compete for them , big talent that surely Villa would want to start?

Okay, even I'm starting to wet the bed now. Season already feels like a race for second, no margin for error

The entitlement of the Villa fans who are slating Jack Grealish is unreal. They’re embarrassing themselves.

On paper Ipswich surely have one of the strongest Striker line-ups seen at this level? - Bonne | Pigott | Barry | Chaplin

Bet James Norwood is going to get limited time this season, would wonder if its worth a sneaky bid as backup to Stockley?

Only Blackpool | Hull | Sunderland conceded less goals than then last season

Only Northampton and Bristol Rovers (both relegated) scored less goals

So no surprise to see them focusing on their forward line so much.

I would love Norwood just for his goal gifs on twitter.
  • (1) Can those Strikers gel
    (2) Was finishing chances the problem last season, or did they struggle to even create chances?

If its the latter then bringing in those four Strikers isnt going to make the difference if someone cant get them the ball

That's 4 excellent strikers + Norwood and Kayden Jackson . Not sure how this is going to pan out for them because that's a lot of players to keep happy.

To be fair, they’ve also got Scott Fraser in midfield

Fraser and Jon Nolan who tore us apart and scored that screamer for Shrewsbury in the playoffs . Very good midfield despite losing Dozzell to QPR

Cheltenham have just confirmed a couple of premier league loans for the season. Callum Wright from Leicester and Taylor Perry from Wolves.
