I also hope that Ollie asks the key question in Kirk's first interview ... Clewlows or Braughings?2

Sounds like the sort of signing I've been wanting us to do for years, signing some of the best L1 talent on long contracts.

Over the moon with the signing, excited to see him play on Saturday & have some balance with the attack.
Only concern is the majority of our team are right footed, would like to see a couple lefties come in0 -
All thats left for me to say... Charlie, may the force be with you!!8

Great signing with end product unlike Millar and Maddison. Think he’s going to be a crowd fav!And RRR is reinstated what a day !1

Kirk’s stats are actually even better than the above.SELR_addicks said:For Crewe:

. didn't think this was going to happen getting all pessimistic and stuff 0 -
Good signing but we desperately need a good left back to bring the best out of him.13

Not related to the thread, but to say Maddison had no end product is ridiculous lolValleysarr said:Great signing with end product unlike Millar and Maddison. Think he’s going to be a crowd fav!And RRR is reinstated what a day !5 -

Finally!....excellent news0

We have a left back proven to be good enough to get us out of this division. Agree we need another, but Purrington will work well with Kirk, I'm sure.ValleyGary said:Good signing but we desperately need a good left back to bring the best out of him.2 -
Assuming he is in a fit state to, he has to start on Saturday. Washington & Gunter on the left is putrid.1
-
Great signing that, hopefully this is the start of our window and we can see more quality come in.0
-
Fantastic news that we’ve finally got our man after what seems an eternity. Hopefully we can put the negativity away for a few hours at least. Obviously Kirk signing doesn’t mean we still don’t have work to do to improve the squad but it should at least calm some nerves about work going on behind the scenes.
Welcome to CAFC (the better one) Charlie, may you play long and prosper.2 -
Fair enough. Didn’t realise he’d played in the 2015/16 season.SELR_addicks said:

Predominantly right footed but his left is anything but a "swinger". And a potential corner and free kick taker!0

Na na na na na na na na na Charlie Charlie Kirk Charlie Kirk, Charlie Charlie Kirk...

How funny is this site, yesterday you were prepared to kill over the lack of a signing, the same people are now soiling themselves over one signing. Well done the management team for getting this one done.9

What you talking about yesterday? More like today at 12pm 🤣Bailey said:How funny is this site, yesterday you were prepared to kill over the lack of a signing, the same people are now soiling themselves over one signing. Well done the management team for getting this one done.2 -
Potentially very good signing and the four year contract does show an amazing faith in the lad. The 4 years may well have been needed to get Charlie to sign as a two deal nearer to home no doubt was being pondered by his agent.
Welcome to the Valley Charlie Kirk and you will feel the love straight away from fans who desperately needed a boost. As I said yesterday: from the fantastic Tracey to our coaches and your team mates you will feel at home despite the leap from Crewe to London.
For Charlie to carry on having assists we must has the strikers in the box and playing Kirk, DJ on the wings won't help if Stockley is isolated.
One player/ swallow doesn't make a summer promotion push but it does give us a lift after the impasse of getting transfers over the line similar for Cafc players trying to get the ball over the line.
The X factor striker still have to appear for us to be top 6 unless Stockley can start doing tap ins with his feet.
Nigel, play Washington more central when DJ or Kirk have the ball at home in wide positions.
Wimbledon had 3 players in the 6 yard box waiting to score from the cross on Tuesday night.

Good stuff. But will he get a bigger house than Danny Green?4

This is Crewe. It's their model and it's what they have always done. Their fans would be weirded out if good young players DIDN'T leave after a few seasonsForeverAddickted said:

Ipswich tried to nab him last minute but kirky boy was having none of it.

FFS. I really need to sort my life out and get back to full time employment.30
