Hampshire v SomersetKent v SussexAll southern group line-up for finals day.1

Quality evening. Great to see us qualify for finals day again should be a brilliant day. 2 tight games!!1
-
Great result, but that scorecard doesn't reflect how near the Bears were to throwing the door open. All part of the joy of cricket- we move on, which is good considering how the season has gone. Must have been geat being there tonight.1

Fantastic performance by Sam Billings, more for his captaincy than his 56 runs. So many other top performances with the ball too. Delighted for Milnes.
Roll on Edgbaston!2 -
How did we do in the group game’s against these 3 ?0
-
What a fabulous evening! Wasn't too confident after our innings (I think we looked rusty) but we did it! Bonus was reconnecting with the ever gorgeous and delightful Jean3

Not that great - lost twice to Somerset, lost to Sussex and beat Hants in our only matches against those two0 -
Thought we made slightly hard work of that.
I always think teams sometimes seem to stick to prepared plans too closely. Leaning was considered a fill in bowler to squeeze out 2 overs in the middle, when he should have bowled at least another one, as Fred was bowling dross.0 -
Only 1 of the quarter finalists was a 100 host county5

I get mixed up there was Jean King, Jean Huelin and Jean Tindall.
All long time stalwarts and involved behind the scenes for many a day.🤔0 -

Joe Denly baby!
I was impressed when Zak noticed that we didn't have enough fielders outside the ring, and stopped the bowler2 -

Just home after a really great evening in Cantersbury !
SO many familiar Addicks there & great to chat with some of them again, but especially good to meet Stewart & the lovely Angela and of course our own Princess - Fiona.
Didn't feel we made enough runs to win this but then, I'm a pessimist at heart.
But our bowlers did us proud & our fielding as usual was top notch. Adam Milne apart, our bowlers aren't household names but they do what it says on the tin...
We were fortunate to sit behind some seriously funny people who kept us in fits of laughter and the last 5 overs or so were something else with some brilliant chants. You had to be there to appreciate it though.
Tonight made me extra proud to be a Kent supporter and emphasised why The Hundred will never compare with county cricket in whatever form.
The pride in & encouragement of OUR players is something that Hundred "fans" will never appreciate. How can you "feel the love" for a Franchise member when you're unlikely to watch them strut their stuff again ? For me, it can never be more than a one off for families - a taster if you like - but loyalty & a feeling of sharing something special ?
Never.
Now for a weekend double delight !16 -
Excellent fielding performance1

As an Anti-Hundredist, it’s good to see three counties that don’t play at Hundred venues qualifying for Finals Day. I wish it was all four, that’s all.7

I love one day cricket as you get a result on the day, and I love the 50 over competition as you can make a day out of it, however the hundred has now made that basically a reserve competiton a bit like the pizza cup, such a shame when we still have a world cup in that form.

Compare this with Essex who I believe I heard had NO players involved?
It's a minor miracle that our lads were able to regroup so swiftly and battle their way to the final stages of this competition.
Level playing field ?
NOT.
Pride, fighting spirit and determination?
YES.

We're due to go to Spain in 3 weeks, so can't go to finals day. We're really looking forward to our holiday (if it does go ahead) but I can't help being disappointed I can't go to the finals0 -
Could it just be possible that Kent did so well last night because so many of their players played in The Hundred, not in spite of?1
