There was a train running on SouthEastern?
Jesus H Christ!  How long had you been on it?  Where was it supposed to be?  Do you know where it's actually going?
No, he doesn't know where it's going.

But's he did get the number of the engine.

    It’s on time

Destination - Nigel Adkins Central, a desperate and joyless place, where the train drivers constantly crash trains into one another because Sir Topham Adkins doesn’t know how to operate the signals and points

I can’t imagine a more thankless task than being the ‘CAFC Fan Advisor’, fair play to anyone who puts their hand up to do it.
Clearly an 'ego driven' role. Who would want to do it ?

If and when he gets sacked....will it result in an immediate £1,000,000 (more or less) cash injection for him?

He's on £350,000 a year. Think his contract was 3 years?

A bit harsh. It could just be someone who feels they have the skill set to help improve fan engagement. Not a bad ambition after the previous ownerships imo.

    Is that really necessary?
Digs at fans who are doing advisory roles for the club they support and follow? all because you're pissed off about results at the moment?

Two and half, and won't get paid out the remaining bit, he'll get a bit of it

Shitty comment to make. Over 180 people applied for the role. Where they all on ego trips as well then in your opinion?

I know some people are dead against it but the club seriously have to think about bringing Curbishley back into the fold in some capacity, we have nobody in the club with his footballing brains, nobody comes close.

It'll be the Charlton TV dream team: Curbs, Scottie and Stevie Brown.

    They won't let you down.

Could do a lot worse…..as unlikely as it is.
    I wasn't really serious.

    Neither was I Oggy.🤤

How...has he not been sacked? I'm truly baffled.
  • I've sat here this morning thinking "it's only half 10, sure we'll see something later"

    11, 12, 1pm...

    3pm....

    1 hour 56 minutes.

Unconfirmed but I suspect we will know tonight.

Probably doesnt matter on the timing today

There was a game yesterday so majority of the squad will likely have the day off today

Just need to hope that something gets announced by the end of the day

I still remain amazed, those who still think this is done like Championship Manager, and that there aren't multiple moving parts to sort before an announcement

What if, if has been reported by some on here, the budget was suddenly slashed in the Summer? It might be a reason why Thomas is finding it hard to sack Adkins. I mean, Adkins could say he was promised X and got Y instead etc.... I must stress, I don't know, but there has to be a reason it hasn't happened yet.
He's finding it hard to sack him because he's an egotistical prat who can't admit when he made a mistake.

I assumed TS popped out for a Tesco Meal Deal from 1-2 so didn't include that.

Exactly.  There is also the question of who goes.

Thats the worst thing that could happen... If I was Nigel Adkins I'd just retire, create myself from scratch again and then takeover as Charlton Manager as though nothing had happened

That was never an issue for Roland. His way was sack first, sort out the details later.

Agreed. Newcastle would have known they were going to sack Bruce, but it still took them 3 days after their last game to do it.

Suppose it depends when you think the multiple moving parts were first first started moving. Could've been any time over the last 4 to 5 weeks

Unless it’s announced by CARD, as Slade’s dismissal was. Club took hours to confirm.
