As I said elsewhere just now, Clare/Dobson/Gilbey in CM feels like something that should be tried. The rest is flexible. If Lee isn't fit, a front three of CBT, Washington and Leko could be fun, although I'd rather CBT came off the bench, so maybe DJ, Washington and Leko, or Washington, Davison and Leko. God knows which right-back we pick.0

We need to get back go basics now, with no silly hopeful formations pretending that it might 'click' soon.
No room for 2 wingers who are defensively naive and playing bit part roles when attacking.

The last two times Jackson picked the team for a proper first team games he played a diamond.
With this group of players getting the balance between too open and too negative is the key. Really lack players that can go both ways
but we need to stop losing, fast. 1 -

We need to have energy about the team and to not be over run in the middle. If we were more solid and could get more of the ball I would love to see Kirk, when confident in the side.
I did also wonder about Lee instead of Clare but thought we would be dynamic going forward but lack any solidity.0 -
I think he'll play 442 with Washington & Stockley up front. Washington has the potential to be our best player but he needs a certain distribution for his runs to be successful. Therefore I'd go (if Lee not available);

If Lee is available I'd play him instead of Kirk on the wing, or maybe Clare who would drop to the Bench if JJ fancies Kirk to turn it around. That midfield could play a diamond if necessary but that could provide too much space down the wings for JJ's liking.
The two wingers need to run their socks off both forward and back that's for sure.
If we are still in it with 15/20 to go, the fresh legs of Leko and Davison and even an Arter swap for Watson will be required as to still be in it at that point we'd have covered some miles on the pitch.

It’s difficult, because so many players have underperformed this season, but we don’t know which ones just haven’t been doing it because they didn’t like playing under NA versus their general ability0 -
I don’t think it’s about a change in team or formation as such, because as we saw with Adkins whatever he did the team served up shite.
Its about a change in mentality now, a fight for points. So we have to bear in mind that some players that were previously shite might find a bit of their old form. I do however think he will pack the midfield out due to the opposition.
