Even the lumo is £38 one way. Wtf happened to it being a £30 return to Edinburgh? Engineering works on the Sunday, so it's a 4.5 hour journey back to London

Do you really think you're going to get cheap train fares to Sunderland 2 and a half weeks before the game?
Most of the train fares have been quite expensive all season.
That's why I was surprised you could get to Burton for £30 the night before the game.

Surprisingly comfortable win for Plymouth over the Massives
They played their full first team so not really a surprise. they beat them 3-0 in the league back in September as well. Plymouth are unbeaten since the opening day of the season, they look the real deal this year.
All runs come to an end 😀
Huddersfield are still unbeaten since 2010.

Come on mate, don’t pretend like you’ve never watched Billie and Sam from the Only Way is Essex talk about what it’s like to be mum’s in Brentwood and then celebrity dinner date
  • When will tickets likely be out do we know?
I'm sending them out on Thursday.

    £2 on the sofa
    £1 in the armchair

Is the sofa ticket for both seats or is the extra quid for the chance of a half time cuddle?
  • Keep getting flashbacks to the Northwich Victoria game....

    We were shocking that day.
  • Looking forward to watching Stockport on TV tonight - should be a good game.

Went to the game last night. Gateshead were the better team on the night and deserved to win. Gutted! The Trafford Council put further crowd restrictions in place and limited the capacity to 1300, so in effect it was a sellout. 72 hardy souls from Gateshead travelled.
It'll be on the sofa in front of the tele for me!

Pretty much ruled me out. You're looking at over £200 before you've even factored in food/drink and match ticket, plus a 4 hour journey home the following day.

How are they getting away with charging these prices when you've got that disruption on Saturday?

The Bayliss Coach as it is now known, is probably going to be around £25-30.  I know gets a lot of banter on here, myself included.  However, if you do genuinely want to go to the game and not spend a ton on rail fares, and you can stomach it, then it is a viable option.

clb74 will tell you how good it is if you don’t believe me ;-)
  • Decided to drive up and split the petrol money after seeing those train prices. Will stay over in Gateshead

Trains are much more reasonable here in France but there are more strikes. My wife is currently experiencing such problems just getting the train to the airport.
There were strikes again at school last week.😠

Hope that makes you feel a bit better.,😉

Was that with a railcard Croydon.
  • There are engineering works that weekend between Doncaster and Peterborough, hence a reduced and more expensive train service

Trains will be running via Lincoln instead of Newark, a shame that wasn't the case when we played Lincoln a few weeks ago!
