[cite]Posted By: nth london addick[/cite]j i promise mate he is on the way wether some like it or not
Seriously how do you know this, am I not getting the drift somewhere or r u just having a laugh?0 -
Do not belittle the contacts of NLA - he had a busy day yesterday sorting things out and knows where it is at!0
-
[cite]Posted By: nth london addick[/cite]Right i have just spoke to one of the press officers at the ODA and it is nailed on fact that PP will be told to resign next week after a board meeting to discuss the failures of the last season
he still has his supporters on the board but not enough to hang in there.
Lawrie Sanchez is not only in as Manager but is also one of the front men for the takeover consortium that is just days away from entering the final stages and an announcement to the stock market
so there it is as much info as i can post someone should perhaps put it to members only
SE7 this is how0 -

No way, seriously0 -
TBH I wouldn't mind this move never had anything against Lawrie, came across well in the interviews I've seen him in0
-
yep i have been chasing him all day got back to me on the way home,
good source very knowledgable0 -
Until anything is released on the offical website, or reliable sources such as BBC or SSN, I'll take this with a pinch of salt.
Sanchez's wages would surely be a factor in hiring him anyway.
At this rate, Wenger and Ferguson will be linked with the Charlton job.0 -

are you henry in disguise ;-)0 -
just to add to this discussion I have seen Sanchez twice in the director's box sitting next to Murray and Simons. Preston NE at home and the last time I saw him Blackpool at home. This lead me to believe at the time that something was going on. If NLA is correct this would confirm what I have seen.0

Nothing on paddy power, I've just checked. Nathan's just appeared, maybe he's got some contacts he could ask.0
-
Sanchez is nowhere near as good as HE thinks he is, but with a good coach like Les Reed it might work.0
-
I hate to piss on the parade but in his one summer at Fulham Sanchez spent £26.5 million on 11 players as follows:[cite]Posted By: nth london addick[/cite]J
he could be just what we need
progressive, strong knows a bargin has experience in the lower leagues
Paul Konchesky
Hamuer Bouazza
Aaron Hughes
David Healy
Diomansy Kamara at 6m
Shefki Kuqi
Dejan Stefanovich
Danny Murphy
Steven Davis
Seol Ki-Hyeon
Chris Baird
Hardly bargains!0 -
of which 6 are still playing in the prem
Konch
Bouazza
Hughes
Kamara
Murphy
Davis
so he couldnt have got it all wrong0 -
Won`t have that sort of money at The Valley though !0
-
i doubt we would need it TBF i reclon hal mill we;; spent keep the nucleous of the squad together and who knows0
-
Christ on a bike - is there no end to this circus?
Lawrie flaming Sanchez - the man who can outdowie Dowie.
This has to be a wind-up0 -
Interesting times.
Anyway, thanks for posting NLA - its nice to hear something, ANYTHING!
If true, I think he could give this club the sharp kick up the arse it clearly needs right now... we wil see.
Not necessarily who I would have hoped for, but beggars can't be choosers etc. I'd certainly give him a chance.0 -

Exactly what Bigstemarra said0

The more I think about it, the more I think a lot of managers outside the bigger clubs actually work better without much money to spend.
Most of the big money signings from Curbs, Pardew and Dowie didn't work out too well. That list of Sanchez's signings shows he found it hard with money to spend. Someone said similar things about Coppell as well, £2.5m on Fae I think it was, but some good bargains earlier on when he was at Reading.
They can go out and spend £5m on an overrated Championship player (though he's probably worth that to his club), but when there's no more than a couple of million to spend they have to be a lot more careful.
Certainly if Pardew had a lot less money, he wouldn't have wasted the odd £100k-£500k on players like Sinclair, Christensen and the like who have never made their league debuts, nevermind made an impact.0 -
Good point, Sco
We wouldn't have blinked too much at those kind of purchases if we were still in the prem. However, from our position now, it makes you want to weep when you think of it in terms of the salaries of the staff let go by the club etc.0 -
Those who say LS did a good job at Wycombe are deluded. He got them to a FA Cup semi, yes - but a cup run does not a good manager make.
His league record at Adams Park and at Fulham was average-to-poor at best.0 -
well from what I have heard recently I'm taking this Sanchez lark with a large pinch of salt.0
-
'it is nailed on fact that PP will be told to resign'
and he'll say 'of course, don't bother with my pay-off, I'll walk'.0 -
To be honest I think we could do worse...0
