The figure I saw quoted with add ons could be up to £40million?

That must be a wind up surely. Sure he was a decent player and could re capture that form but £40million is absolute daylight robbery given his performances over the last few years. Almost spat my drink out when I heard the price.

Spurs would be laughing their heads off surely?  £40m for a player that's been absolutely useless for about 2 years now and who they've dropped completely.

Absolutely, I'm astonished Everton are paying that. I'm sure between 5-10million was quoted as the figure Spurs were after earlier in the window.

Although Everton do have form for paying over the odds, £35 million for Alex Iwowi must go down as one of the worst transfer deals in history.

Because of Everton's FFP problems and the fact they've used their max loans, Paratici has been creative by making it effectively a free transfer, they are obligated to pay £10m once he hits 20 games (which as they are out of the cups), will be start of next season (so its effectively a loan but not!).  Then Spurs will have add ons based on his future success.  I doubt very much he'll be hitting them heights.  But under Lampard, he may get a new lease of life.

Hasn't worked out properly for him with us. Great work ethic but spends most of his time falling over and getting back up again.

He isn't going to Pompey.  Gillingham until the end of the season would suit everyone?

Only 12 million guaranteed over three years, the rest is down to how well he does etc.
