We’ve apparently got an “option” to purchase Famewo but we still haven’t taken it up. Why not?
He’s been brilliant since Jackson took charge.0 -
so Bairstow deal is done…announcement tomorrow

We don’t know what the deal is contingent on. Maybe it was agreed to by Akin himself only if we were promoted to the Championship. Maybe Akin wanted 15k pw and we could only afford that if we were in the Championship. Who knows?Bolderhumphreyreid said:

Why wasnt he playing under Daniel Farquah and Dean Smith? Anyone know.LargeAddick said:Bournemouth sign Todd Cantwell on loan, cracking signing that.
He was Norwich's shining light by a country mile the year before they went down again. Surprised a PL team hasnt got him.0 -
Sky reported that Norwich wouldn’t let him go to another PL club.JohnBoyUK said:

I thought he might get 18 months somewhere. It's a nice story given his relationship with the club. I can't really fault us for not going after himCallumcafc said:
He's 39, he's probably on big wages for this level, we're not getting promoted. I'd rather have Chuks. But good luck to him. Seems like a decent bloke.2 -
Will be serious promotion contenders next season.killerandflash said:

Think he always said he wanted to go south.killerandflash said:One of our ex players, Tobi Sho-Silva has made the significant geographical move from Sutton to Carlisle0 -
Defoe will certainly give their squad a boost but scoring goals hasn't really been their issue this season. They are the divisions top scorers but have the worst defensive record in the top 11, so if they have money to throw at wages you'd have thought another defensive option might have been better.1

Morecambe have had a stunner, how have they kept Stockton?
Although dont even remember hearing anyone being linked with him all month2 -
I don't know who is advising Ben Thompson but for someone who played 150 times for Millwall in the Championship (30 last season) to go on a free to League 2 bound Gillingham does seem rather a step down. A couple of seasons ago he was on loan at Portsmouth and did really well there.3

Blackburn kept Brereton-Diaz, Morecambe have kept Stockton, Newport have kept Telford! Quite surprisingForeverAddickted said:Morecambe have had a stunner, how have they kept Stockton?

Agree. Are any of them out of contract in the summer? Wouldn’t mind Stockton and Telford, they would definitely be useful signings in my eyes.!killerandflash said:

I suspect it is a shop window for his next move. Not sure how many loans the Gills have got but it might be a device to enable the short term move.1 -

Personally I'm happy they stayed. If I was a player having a great season at a club, I'd want to finish it there and achieve something, whether promotion or keeping that side up, or even just breaking records at that club. If Blackburn go up, Brereton-Diaz will forever be a club legend. If they don't, then he'll then understandably move on to a PL side, something 95% of Blackburn fans would understand.4 -

I hadn't realised that and it does make sense in that respect. Of course, the other connection is Neil Harris.

Telford may be worth a gamble in the summer if he continues scoring2

Jon Nolan has signed for Bristol Rovers.0

Just realised Wednesday signed Mendez-Laing. 2 goals 2 assists so far in 7 games (5 starts) as right wing back. Remember his name being mooted in the summer as a gamble.. maybe we should have gone for it0
-
It was mooted as a done deal by the resident WUM along with Sol Bamber. He said it was a done deal despite getting the selling club wrong.Jac_52 said:Just realised Wednesday signed Mendez-Laing. 2 goals 2 assists so far in 7 games (5 starts) as right wing back. Handy for him geographically, having started at MK Dons and also played at Reading, I imagine he probably still has his house from when he played at ReadingRichard J said:Sam Baldock joins Oxford.
